Whats up guys... how are your gardens going? Mine is doing awsome! If anyone of you did not see my previous post... this is my 2nd grow.. but 1st grow with good genetics and HID lighting. This White Widow clone from Female Seeds has less that 20 days to go and I cannot wait! Let me know what you guy think? Enough talking.. here are the pics.

What do you think about the weed and the photography?

Looks good, she will be filling out pretty soon, trim away the fan leaves that begin to block the budsites as she gets bigger, the last few weeks of life is when mary jane puts on the weight

Your White Widow looks fantastic. I am going to try that strain one of these days. :chin: Keep us updated & smoke report. :smoke:

Hi Danimal, I have heard that you should leave the fan leaves on because they provide food for the plant through photosynthisis.

Thanks for the comments guys! This strain kicks ass... its easy to grow, takes little nutes.. but will eat them up if you introduct them easy. When I ordered these seeds from Seeds Direct, I originaly ordered the Dutch Passion femanised version but recieved the Female Seed Co's version when the seeds came. I thought they might be of a lower quality since the FSC price was almost 1/2 of the DP femanised WW.. but that was definatly not the case. This plant has been easy as hell to grow! I would DEFINATLY recomend this strain to anyone including the beginner.

Last night a friends friend came over the house and we started talking.. he was talking about growing.. so I threw him my digital camera to look at some of these photos I just posted. He looked over them and was amazed at the quality and asked if I knew what strain it was. I told him White Widow and he was like no shit.. check this out. Out he pulls a tupperware mini container, opens the lid and a pungent skunky smell fills the room. He said "I just picked this White Widow yesterday, it has only been drying one day now".. When he said it was only drying one day I was like man we cant smoke it then.. he said the hell we cant!

I was not going to argue with him... it smelt soo good, tasted extremely good, and fucked me up!! It was only drying for one day! If it was that good wait till its cured I said! Here are some pics of the nugs we smoked that day.

He said he flowered it under MH and the last 3 weeks under 300w HPS. He also said the plant had a rough life, traveling over 40 miles in a truck, lol.. so he said mine should be a lot better.. and I would have been thrilled if mine came out as good as his!

I also have this strain under DWC.. its the middle of the 5th week of flowering. The top got some heat stress as you can see.. it got too tall!

Since I have took the DWC off of the 400w HPS table and put it on the floor and adjusted the 1000w HPS light under it. It grows 100% better in DWC than organics... hope the taste is the same!

yes hansel this is true, the fan leaves do provide the plant with food and energy, however in the last few weeks of flowering where the plant is done growing and is now maturing, the plants main uptake for nutrition will be through its roots anyway, so maximizing the light to the part of the plant that is flowering is key.

agressive pruning techniques increase yeild more often than not...the only thing to look out for is not to trim TOO many of the leaves away..only the ones that block the largest bud sites..snipping away 60% of the leaves will not hurt the plant as much as you think it would when its only got a little over 2 weeks of life left!! in amatter of fact the plant will increase resin production as well as bud mass because it no longer has to worry about keeping the fan leaves green, instead it diverts its energy to the flower.

sweet buds. I have 4 Ingemars WW veggin right now. :joint:

thanks for the reply... I have heard Ingemar was a breeder from Nirvana? Is that correct? If so did he leave Nirvana for Female Seed Co? Or is your strain different than mine? If our strain is the same.. do you know any history behind it?

Nice pics supratthc.... :yummy:

Ingemar created the original WW, but I have no idea about the feminized seeds co's version.

trim away the fan leaves that begin to block the budsites as she gets bigger

I really wouldn't do that. The leaves are your plants solar panels. I never trim leaves away, no matter what.

agressive pruning techniques increase yeild more often than not...

Maybe so, in the case of trimming away whispy side branching. Not by trimming off fan leaves!

Thanks guys.. I just purchased a C02 injection system w/ an electronic selonoid... went to the local beer dist. and paid $20 for a 50lb tank filled!!! Cheap as shit.. people are paying $100 just for an empty tank.. i just exchange this everytime I need to. So we shall see how the C02 will effect the organic WW plant in her last weeks of flowering.. should help a bunch! Stay tuned to see the weight pack on! I also purchased a Sun Systems Pro reflector for my 1000w HPS setup.. I had the 1000w HPS in an old old way off white brownish reflector and man what a difference... should be smooth sailing from here on in.. ill post pics of the tank / light when I get home.
