White Widow flowering period

What is the flowering period for the white widow, mines is coming up on the 8th week this Thursday, March the 1st.

she is not covered white sugar yet, I'm thinking then, this weed must be a 10 to 12 week flowering weed.

So how long do you let your white widow flower before you can expect the trichs to be 50/50 or covered by sugar, in good light and soil poted conditions?

Who's version do you have? Nirvana's takes 8-9 weeks to finish. Greenhouses (god forbid) takes 9 weeks.

I've been unlucky enough to have the odd plant that produces hardly any trichomes...like smoking hay.

but definitely be patient...your pheno may have a flowering time that falls outside the 8-9 weeks...hopefully not by more than a couple of weeks

good luck

The earliest I've been able to take WW is 9 weeks.

I think the longest was 1 day over 11 weeks. It kept getting bigger and had hardly ANY amber triches that time.

Maybe it could have gone longer, but it was starting to freak me out-lol.

It was from Dutch Passion a few years ago.

Definately.

But harvest according to your preference.

I like'em a little amber.

Here is some Greenhouse White Widow. I didn't keep track of flowering days though. The trichomes looked very silvery. Excellent flavor in the vaporizer.

Red - I have always been from the oldschool of thought and worked my plants based on their looks and needs rather than on what the breeder
"says" it should do. I have never heard of a white strain goin that long with out producing copious amounts of trichs but, then again I only have experience with TRC's Sharon. The crazy thing is it could be any number of things! The plant genetics itself, nutrients, temps, etc... If your plants show no health issues you may just have a genetic anomally that doesn't produce the trichs you are thinking it should for the line. Bottom line - The best thing about growing is - if you don't like a particular line you can change it after every run and move on to something else!!!! If you are looking for a real killer white strain, I would def. suggest TRC's Sharon's Widow. Incredible specimens that will give you devastating potency, crazy whitened fan leaves, super bubblehash, and you can help out a good guy with your purchase. Sounds like a commercial but its the truth!!! :sasmokin:

alot of breeders are guilty of exagerating early finishing times///also.... dutch peeps usually harvested early.... they used to like hairy pot!
i just harvested widow at 9 weeks so i can make room for new stuff and it was very nice but still poppin new calxes,,,, would definately go 10 weeks as a general rule... it was super frosty tho with swollen calyxes in abundance!!
still should have let it go 10!!!
now ,,,we are more intune with the plant and can read each individual strains and do what the plants want! we know mj better now than back in the day when those finish times were status quo

Here's that WW I took to 78 days.

Leaves were cooked, but it was still producing.

Bulldog - great lookin widow!!!! Looks like the prototype plant you see all the pictures of!!

Firegod - Hashish is right on the money! I lucked up and got a cut while out in the Yay area that is just devastating. Don't know much about the company itself but have only heard the best of reviews regarding their work. :sasmokin:
