White Russian Lady - nute deficiency?

Hello IC Mag (I have a similar post in the budshots saying hello! :D) anyway to the point - this is a white russian grown from seed in BOG's potting mix, 400 watt horilux HPS + 100 watt cool flouros + 1 feeding of 1/3 strength Pure Blend Pro Grow along, before that it was just getting fish emulsion (5-1-1 crud) at 1/3-1/2 strength. Feeding plan is every other watering.

- I'm thinking she just needs some more time with the PBP waterings to heal as new growth seems good except the yellowing ( def. ?) Anyway, here are the pics:

PS: It had its FIRST PBP feeding 4 days ago. It has since gotten a splash of distilled.

Thanks for your help!

Looks like nute burn to me.....
Flush her well and ease her back into feeding....

a friend came over today and helped me realize that the yellow leaves may have come from when i was out of town and the plant wasn't being fed and the amount of light it was under went from about 80watts/ft to 20. He said if anything though the plant should need some more food....

I'm also trying to buy some good nutrients , all I have is Pure Blend Pro Grow, superthrive, and fish emusion. I was looking into the advanced nutrients line, but all the components seem so expensive, not to mention tempting.. Anyway insomnia and a broken back got me down and all I got is sativa (mothers finest) jeeze guess ill just have to smoke a bunch :abduct:

Phish, welcome to ICMag!

Allow me to put in my own two cents. If that plant was grown from seed and is in soil it is way too young to be giving nutes. I agree with what all of my colleagues have said above, you look like you have some serious nute burn.

Flush it! Don't just give it distilled water. Distilled water is fine but first you need to flush it good, which means placing the pot in your sink or bathtub and flush her with at least three times as much the volume of the pot of distilled water. This'll wash out the nutes as well as clean the soil and your plant will be looking happier already the day after! If you just switch to water without nutes she'll still look (and be) sick becuase of all of those nutes accumulated in the soil.

Plants in soil, if the soil mix is good, do NOT need to be fertilized in veg until the third week.

Best of luck...and please try to flush her before doing anything else, especially giving her more nutes.

Looks like the excess nutes my have created adverse ph conditions and you are getting nute lock out, could it be K def ?

Best of luck, very nice bong too.

Baz.

With all due respect bazeado...that doesn't make much sense...nute overkill is nute overkill and needs to be resolved as nute overkill, not by adding more nutes but by leaching the nutes out of the soil...uhm...at least that's what my logic (and that of many others) tells me. IMO he needs to flush first, wait a few days, and if his plants don't look better only then he should see if it could be some other problem. But I'm betting hands down on nute overdose...those plants should have been bigger before receiving any nutes at all. He's in soil! Just my 2 cents. Respect :)

LOL bazeado:D
...it is probably I who didn't express myself well...I just got a mental image of the dude seeing the K def at the end of your post and running to pour nutes all over the poor plant to try to makeup for a deficiency which in theory doesn't exist as the plant got too much already of anything she needed, and if she locked nutes out its probably what's keeping her alive :D

By the way....your username is in my native language, we don't by chance share the same nationality? ;)

One more thing I wasn't clear about too, ws that whatever you do, use PH BALANCED water to flush with!
DO NOT as someone suggested, sit them in the sink and run the tap on them!
Lots of water, but make darn sure you ADJUST the PH to 0.3-6.4 or oyu will only further complicate things!
Good grows!

I think a lot of people over look the fact that if you mix bone and blood meal in soil you MUST let it set for 2-3 weeks at least so the ph can stablize it self, otherwise your going to have lockout ! also adding these things makes the soil HOT and no feeding is ness. till flower...

I believe you are referring to me meduser....and if this is so I also believe you didn't pay much attention to what you read. I worte exactly this:

"which means placing the pot in your sink or bathtub and flush her with at least three times as much the volume of the pot with distilled water". Please note that distilled water (if distilled through the process of reverse osmosis) is pH 5.5 and stable. I don't see tap water written anywhere:rolleyes:

Entao Bazeado, eu sou Brasileira meu bem, e nao sou nem mate, dude, amigo o irmao, sou mulher! LOL :D Muito prazer ;) Agora estou morando na Italia.

As far as feet in mouth and laughing about it, I do my own share so its all good, I firmly believe people can disagree and still respect each other, and that is why I've adopted this particular forum as homebase, this just doesn't happen on other boards :).

Flush Phish and you'll make that plant happy ;) We're all rooting for her (excuse the play on words ;))

Ok hon....
Not to "nitpick" but this is what you CLEARLY wrote, and it says NOTHING about the PH of distilled water. This person needs help, and doesn't need to guess stuff like that.
I'd also like to point out that buying distilled water for the purpose of flushing your plants, could potentaily be pretty expensive.
Granted this is one plant only, but you see what I mean?
On top of that, unless they are running HYDRO, a PH of 5.5 is WAY too low!!!
Cannabis plants in soil should be in the 6.2-6.6 PH range..PERIOD.

Not trying to start an argument, simply assure that the person who needs help is getting the correct info.

That's cool meduser, I'm a nitpicker myself (as you've seen)...and I've been away from English speaking countries so long I sometimes tend to be a bit contorted when trying to convey something ;). By the way, I see this as an exchange between fellow growers, definitely no argument goin' on ;)

I can see that possibly he may not understand my answer, and I also agree he needs pretty basic but comprehensive info. I don't live in the States, so I don't know what distilled water costs there...I only chose it because it seems that's what he's using. I also agree that cannabis needs a pH level in that range, but he'll probably have high soil pH levels due to the nute overload and the RO water will compensate, as well as stabilizing. I personally water my plants with a 50/50 mix of RO water and tap water, which gets my runoff water to pH 6.3, meaning my soil's happy and so are my plants ;)

Anyway Phish, bottom line is flush.... but flush with water that has acceptable levels of pH...;)
