White Label DoubleGum (sorry! no pics...)

Just a quick report on white labels doublegum, grown by a friend hydroponically. Firstly I would like to say that this bud was the product of a friends first large KW grow (12KW total:6KW MH-6KW HPS, 8 lights one room 4MH/4HPS and 2 of each in another staggered to provide wider spectrum than MH or HPS alone) and due to a rental inspection (!!!) and other problems nearly didn't reach harvest. The mother chosen from which to take clones had more of a sativa/hybrid appearance than the others which were given away. The dried bud had a very lime green appearance to it with no visible red hairs and few trichs. The grower swears it went 8 1/2 weeks in flower but I think it was cut early out of fear/self preservation. The smell was nothing special, slightly skunky at first with 'hints' of gum/sweetness when the bud was broken up. The smoke was absolutely devoid of flavour although it was fairly smooth on the inhale. The high itself was very uninspiring, though fairly potent in a couchlock/neckbrace fashion. I wasn't expecting much and received very little enjoyment from smoking the bud although since it was a first time run I can say it wasn't a total disappointment as the grower can now work on improving. I have seen plants grown from on of the discarded females and I must say I cannot fathom why the grower kept the mother used and gave away a beautiful, crystal covered, sweet smelling Bubblegum pheno from the seeds that were grown initially. Hopefully I will be able to report on the other pheno at a later date.

hopefully.... because this is what i have in my veg box now at 2 weeks... sorry, no pics either.

these were the weakest seedlings iv'e ever seen, and iv'e seen a few....no will to live.
all 8 cracked... 4 broke soil.... all 4 needed surgery to shed the hull...3 actually look great now, to my surprise... 1 is a runt.

was so disappointed with these when they sprouted i started some lifesaver to go with....

Sounds like good shit! I love the real bubblegum. I haven't tried the white label doublegum but i have tried the Serious Seeds version and some amazing bubblegum i got that was of unknown origin, all i know is that it was a cut that was given to a friend. Both had a very sweet chewing gum smell and taste, the sweet taste lingers in your mouth for awhile. The Serious version was probably the most bubblegum in taste out of the two.

Didn't BOG work with the DoubleGum from White Label? I have heard tons of great things about it. I'd love to try it sometime.

I've been growing double gum for years. Most of the phenos were slow.... largest, branchiest yielder I still have runs 75-80 days. She is slow to develop fragrance, but it comes out after 8+wks. Almost pure sativa high, she is more potent than other strains even though she often has less resin. Amazing yield... she can easily beat most strains known for their yield as long as you don't pull her early.

Sounds like your friend pulled early....

btw: there is another pheno that goes as fast as 8 weeks or less, and resin production is very high, although yield is nowhere near her sister. Extremely potent.... I really miss that plant, actually I'll probably pick up another pack of double gum soon to see if i can find it again.

I have the real bubblegum and the double is quite different IMO, my double phenos are more spicy than sweet.
