White hairs LATE in veg

i have some plants that are about 2 months old now, but i would like to keep them in veg for another 2 months. I feel like I am already seeing white hairs on some of them.

Is there an "age" they can get to where they just begin to flower (autoflower)

strains are cheese,chem d (91), white, jack's cleaner(i think)

The hairs are just a sign telling you that the plants are sexually mature and ready to go into flower when you change the light cycle to 12/12.

They also mean that you've got females which has to be a good thing!

like all have said, this is normal and is called the pre-flower stage. as long as the flowers dont start to cluster, your fine. keep them in veg till your ready. or better yet make clones and go perpetual.

some strains show hairs early , others do this due to being rootbound. check yo roots

hmm interesting. This def could be true. I am planning on transplanting VERY soon. If they are...will there be any long term affects once they are in new pots? Like i said I would like to veg them for another 9-10 weeks.

Dude at that age it's more likely to be that it's due to them being sexually mature (usually takes 6-8 weeks) like everyone is telling you.

A lot of people here have different ideas of what constitutes a rootbound plant and what doesn't. Personally i think it's highly unlikely unless they've been in the same pots that whole time. Only way to tell would be a pic of the roots.

If you want to veg for another 10 weeks though you will definitely need to repot, probably more than once.

I've seen one of three things cause a plant to show sex while in veg.

The plant is sexually mature or it could be rootbound or when the plant gets older and it is deprived of nutes it will start to show heavy flowers while in veg.
