Hi guys I am really drawn to these but am wondering if anyone has experience to share with can filters or the like? All the test info I can find is at .4 and I think most can filters are like .75? I'd hate tospend the cash and then they dont have enough cfm when hooked up to the filter...

Thanks, I was hoping to scrub and vent my hood with the same fan, I'm not sure if this will be good with a 1kw lamp/

best to use one fan to straight shot air cool your hood, and another to attached to a carbon filter to ventilate the grow.

Check out ventilation 101

If silence is the standard you want to try the TD-Silent as the TD-multivent makes too much noise. I just hooked up a TD-multivent with a muffler in front of the can filter and it still makes noise in my custom box - through a 1/2" thick wall! I will have to build-out a pre-muffler and put that into the system to get true silence. So if you have the room for the much longer TD-Silent series I would go with that.

Many filters, like Can, are rated pressure 0.75 at their maximum cfm flow rating. So if you get a larger filter than you need the resistance to air flow won't be as great. I've had the TD-150, it's not very quiet. Honestly, like a plastic housing sunleaves 6" dialed down a tad on a speed controller is quieter and moves more air. I would not buy another TD-150. I have no experience with the silent series, though.

The TD-150 and a Can 33 can handle 1kw in a 4x4 or 5x5 tent as long as ambient temps are somewhat controlled too, but it works better with a larger filter like a Phresh 8x24.

Hey guys I decided to go with the panasonic whisperline fv-40NLF1, its 440 cfm and supposed to be 2.1 sones.

Here are the specs for static pressure, the rep told me 325 cfm at .75

Can anyone suggest a good filter for me to use with this? I am going to have to use the one fan to vent the 1kw hps in an aircooled 8" blockbuster hood and filter it as well.

Thoughts please? I'm reading that thread Mr. Fortune, thanks.
