I bought a bunch of clones over summer which came with pesticide resistant 2 spot spider mites. Spend probably 2 months trying to get rid of them on veg plants and thought the flowering plants were clean. Between the mites and over feeding since I could not find any advice on what they like, which caused lockout, the grow was an abortion. I can not go by those results to judge which are best and which should be thrown away.

Definetly want to run Chimera #3 Beleaf cut, MAC1 Capulator cut and Fatso at least 1 or 2 more runs to judge them.

Looking for advice on which you would throw away -

Bruce Banner #3 Delta9
Chemdawg #4
Gush Mints Purple City
GMO Cookies Dark Heart
NYC Piff #3 Purple City

Also someones pick of 40 insanely over priced seeds that breeder claimed over 40% THC
Oreo Big Stuff
Rainbow MAC

Someone said Fatso was part GMO and suggested dumping the GMO and another mentioned they did not like the bud structure.

Piff City was part of the disaster grow, vegged poorly and produced almost no bud. Also wondering if maybe it hates topping and/or having lower growth removed, or maybe does not do well in SCROG.

The Chemdawg was listed as Landrace, so probably just from seller growing from seed, so might not be great pheno. That was also the source of spider mites. Half dozen people contacted me and bought that cut and all got spider mites with it from same seller.

Did you get them off? Supposedly neonicotinoid pesticides have led to the pesticide resistant spider mites and problems w the predatory mites. Thats shitty of the seller, I know who it is and it seems like theres a bunch of vendors on the site being sketchy but getting good reviews. Never bought anything but seeds from the site because of this type of stuff.

Haven't grown any of these out but drop the chem 4. Not sure why that lineage is up there but it seems very wrong. Plus the real chemdog drops chem 4 semi regularly in clone/teen form at a dispo in MA,so might as well dump it.

They were immune to neem. Then used UVC light a few times. That is supposed to kill eggs. Have not seen any on plants that went into flower 2 weeks ago. Just used bug bomb from walmart in upstairs room last night and will use the UVC in several spots before moving the flowering plants in there, and then again every 3 or 4 days right after lights go out. Also supposed to kill mold. Wondering if it will kill mold in the plants, if they have any. A couple of sellers are claiming their mothers are from tissue culture. Hoping I did not get HLVD. My GG4 small veg plants are throwing a lot of 3 point leaves. Although I did not use long term mother but used late veg plants to start over each time since 2014 so could be dudding,

throw away ?

are you talking about throwing away seeds or clones ?

Sounds like a nice collection of plants, sidestepping the mite situation.

I would Dr. Doom bomb them all a couple times, once clean take cuts and flower those. Small cuts easy to dip and be sure bug free.

Evaluate from there.
Have not seen on veg plants in about 2 months. They were on recent harvest. I do not know if they can live on dried buds. Wondering if getting the bags upto around 100F then quickly freezing would kill any leftovers, by not giving enough time to hibernate.

Clones. I am hobbyist and too many for 4 X 8 tent. Plus starting new generations, i grow about 5 of each in rockwool, then 3 when they get to 1 liter air pot. Not sure if my GG4 has dudded or maybe HLVD. Reminds me I have close to a grand worth of seeds for last 5 years.
And yes fatso is GMO x Legend OG.

Drop the dark heart cuts. If there's any advice you should take please take that.
Also heard they were selling fake GG4 several years ago.

Mites are not difficult to eradicate when diligent. Having a happy/healthy garden without an IPM schedule is very difficult. Once you get your routine started DO NOT STOP! Your plants will thank you at harvest. It's all in your hands.

Anything that's cookie dom would be my 1st choice.

Dont throw away the gush mints
Even though that grow was a disaster, I did like the taste of that. Will do a few bongs of that now. I sprayed for mites late in flower and got bud rot on a few plants, but that had dense bugs and resisted it.

I did not flower Bruce Banner or Chemdawg.

Had them twice before from the yard and was easy to get rid of them just using neem. Have heard of mites from hell that started in Colorado that are resistant to most treatments, and am guessing that is where these originated. Spinosad seemed to do it, and used UVC to finish off. That is only thing I have heard of to safely kill eggs. I was very careful with new plants, which are easy to treat. Once in a SCROG, really hard to get 100% of the bottom of leaves.

The seller had been shipping them out for almost a year and could not get rid of them. What is strange is everyone who messaged me got them from chemdawg #4. Amazed they did not spread to his other plants.

When I got them, noticed lower leaf had yellow spots, so cut off and scoped, was crawling with them and eggs. Seller swore up and down they must have got in during overnight shipping, in a sealed bag. Sent replacements and scoped a leaf and saw no mites, but one egg. Should have thrown them out, but made mistake of assuming he treated with something that would kill eggs.

That GMO cut is some of the best weed you will ever grow. Chem D has always been my favorite. I would get rid of my Chem D before GMO (the Spanish cut). GMO takes 2-3 weeks longer than Chem D so it is iffy if it will finish outdoors. It finished perfect this year because the season was longer.
GMO is a huge yielder too. It out yielded everything else I had. It was frostier, bigger, stinkier and more potent than GG4. It was very resistant to mold too.

I respect that you don't like to go nuclear and use chemical pesticides. However, sometimes you might need too. If you want to avoid them you will need to be cleaning, washing and applying organic remedies every day. A soap and water wash everyday. Spray with alcohol water everyday. Keep the humidity high and the pots moist. Use whatever organic, non chemical treatment you want but do it everyday.
Get one small example of each strain that will be easy to handle. When treating I would dunk them. Then I would fog them or spray them with the same. It is a war and it will take going after them everyday.

If you go after them everyday for 2 weeks and they still live your only option is to add some non organic pesticides. I would do both from the get-go. Go 100% and quit chasing your tail. You have some nice genetics that you need to save and can save.

You have been around here for a good while Loc Dog and you always add good stuff to threads. You always had a a vibe that you like growing weed. Don't let the bugs beat you. Even if you have to clean everything out and start over. You made some friends that will help you regroup.

You said you have 2 spotted mites. Why do you suspect dudding? You were doing great growing GG4 for years. It is the damn spider mites. They must die. You need to have fun growing again.

If you have plants in flower and don't want to toss them then you need to get predators. Then that might solve your entire problem. They are expensive though. I would either toss the grow or just finish it if it is close and worth it. Otherwise destroy them all except the veg plants you are going to save.

If you have too many plants to treat get the number down to whatever is manageable. Or just 1 best example of each strain you have. Water each pot if needed and then cover the top of the pot with plastic or tape. When it comes time to water just poke a hole to let water into pot. This will make it easy to dunk the plants. Trim the plants up. You don't need to have a big bushy plant now. Plants 8-12 inches are nice to handle. They only need 2-4 branches. Two would be plenty if they have good grow tips and some leaves.

Get a 5 gallon bucket of warm soapy water and 10% alcohol and dunk each plant in and out of the water and let it submerged for a minute. While all the plants are out of their tent or grow area spray that down with 10-20% alcohol. You could even wipe surfaces with 100% alcohol.

Myself I would also do an Avid dunk every 5 days for 3 times. I would then treat once with Forbid. Then I would bomb with Pylon and Beethoven once at the same time.

You don't want to do that so you would dunk with Neem every day or other day or however you use neem.

Once I killed everything my latest IPM is Venerate, Regalia and occasional soap, water and alcohol spray. I will and so would anybody else get mites if you just put an infected plant in the grow. It might not get as bad with an IPM but you would need to identify and treat.

Are GMO and GMO Cookies the same?? This is GMO Cookies from darkheart. Someone else that grew it was not impressed by bud structure. Hammerhead did not like cookies strains but did not mention why. I have only smoked GG4 for last 8 years. Is GMO heavy or light feeder?

I think they are gone have not seen in months in 2 rooms. Were some in another on drying plants. Was told to look where branches were cut, and hung by and saw a few. Used UVC a few times and have not seen any alive. Just bombed the room and not opened for 3 days.

Would prefer to just grow a few of the best. 8 is pushing it in tent, so hoping to get down to 6. Too much work, especially since I do not keep mothers so always cloning. If I had mother could just clone 1 and not worry if it died, so do 4 to be safe. Same with young plants

Will do what you suggest and flower all of them small to see how they do. Noticed Chimera #3 seems to want to grow straight up, and could probably run more per tent. Another Oreo Big Stuff, not a sought after clone but claims of 40% THC is growing horizontally.

At this point I have everything organic to kill the mites. UVC for 10 minutes after lights out kills eggs and mites plus mold by destroying DNA. Have the Venerate, Spinosad, Neem, Hot sauce, and essential oils. Problem I had was the stragglers exploded in growth when hot and everything was set in SCROG so difficult to get 100% with fogger from below. Also saw isoprpyl and water. Saw that they love chrysanthemums and some plant to see if they are around.
