Which strain would fit best in my growbox?

I am growing in a semi-limited space with CFLs (about 250 watts) in hempy buckets. My intention in growing this way, though I've never done it before, is to pack in as many plants as possible. For this to work, I would need a bunch of narrow plants that basically form one giant cola each. Essentially I want to do what is basically a SCROG without the vegging forever, screen, work, etc.

So could any of you please recommend me a strain that generally has these characteristics?
* Height: ~2 ft tall (though a bit more wouldn't hurt too much, assuming the plants stop vertical growth once they hit the lights)
* Fast (like any AF i guess...60ish days)
* Good balance between yield and potency (or high yield, high potency )
* Grows like one giant cola, no bushes please

Overall my main concern is height. I don't want a really short dwarf strain, nor do I want a really stretchy sativa-like strain. For some reason I've been having trouble finding any semi-specific height for most of these strains, even though their height accounts for a large amount of their popularity.

I've been looking a lot at Lowlife's Auto-AK47 as well as the crosses (Auto-AK x Diesel sounds nice). Also MDanzig's Sour 60 looks great, though a bit bushy. And I really want to grow Mossys Gems solely because of the purple pheno.

I think I've decided to go with either Blue Streak or Sour 60. Both look to be the best AF strains out today. But that still leaves a difficult decision.

there are loads of great af variety's to choose from niether sour 60 nor bs grow one cola! from what ive seen my friend, short stuff#1 grows nice size main cola's also low rider #2 does too, mdanzig's power stout also did but i think it may be out of the scene ( correct me if im wrong )but theres good variety

I checked out Short Stuff #1. Its exactly what I'm looking for except that it is really fucking short. However, Short Stuff's Mi5 looks like it could fit the picture perfectly. Its an Ak47 cross that somehow grows 20-44 inches, and from the tiny ass pictures, it looks to have that perfect slim shape. My only concern is that it would grow taller than the max my box will allow (~33 in), but thats a problem that can probably be solved with some gentle bending. And apparently it has a purple pheno.

lst bro, some dont like to lst auto's but i personally dont think a little light bending would hurt! imo ofcourse, if you use the short stuff#1 why not just get slim but deep pots and cram more in then you originally planned you should do just fine i think.

Sour60 will be good for you.
The pic you saw of the sour 60 from mdanzig (I assume) was grown in a big ass pot and under a 800watt ( or 600 ?) HPS.
I wouldn't expect it to get that big unless you do the same, which you wont.

From the SS line, I think ur better off with something like Himalayan Blue Deisel rather than shortstuff#1. Lolz, the mi5 you saw is an outdoor MONSTER.

Why don't you look at the taste/smell/potency factors instead of height ? Don't worry too much about that. You should LST anyway if you are using CFL.
Remember CFL light intensity significantly decreases when they get a bit far from the lamp. Meaning, tall plants wont get enough light beneath the main canopy.

LST the plants from the start and train them to become horizontal monsters and never worry about space.
Since you will be using smaller pots, I recommend you use coco or other soil-less mixes unless you're willing to take extra care keeping such a small buffer area in perfect shape (EC/toxicity/pH).

ps: Agree with Gene. You can use plastic Cola 2L bottles with the top cut off and can cram many plants. Not advisable unless you have plenty of seeds to get a nice SOG tho.

So much is going to depend on the final pot size you choose. A small 2 to 3 liter pot will get you to about a foot or so high, but it will take a solid gallon to get 20 inches, or so it seems to me.

I'll measure my SS#1 today in like 4 hours but it's not as short as Himilaya Blue Diesel or Auto-Bud. It's actually one of the bigger ones I've seen...But my Ak-47's have grown twice as tall as any auto 47 i've seen so then again it's all in what you're doing i suppose. If you do get MI5 though that'd be cool, I haven't seen it grow out yet.

EDIT: I haven't done Snowryder out yet but I've seen it and I would consider it a contender for you.

Think the Himalyan Blue Diesel would be good for you. One giant cola and it has every thing you can wish for in taste, flavor, potency and looks.... the Yield isnt bad either.

Thanks for the input guys! I've been thinking, maybe height isn't so important. I was planning on using 6" (about 2-3 L) pots filled hempy-style with a 3:1 ratio of perlite:verm, which I hope will provide enough plenty of space for the plants to grow to their full potential.

I realize that LSTing is the best way to grow with CFLs. But theres something about LSTing that really intimidates me...I think it's all the work involved. Ehh...maybe for this grow to work as I want I'll have to ditch the CFLs and throw in a 150w HPS. That should definitely provide plenty of light penetration. Plus, I wouldn't need to worry so much about how tall the plants are because I could simply adjust the light's height (as opposed to raising the pots up to the CFLs...which is a bitch and the reason I'm concerned about height anyway)

And I gotta say, that HBD looks really fucking tasty. I'm already imagining a forest of sticky purple plants. ohhh yeahhh

Instead of LST-ing, you could grow them in those pots until they are very close to the light. Then, you tilt them, resting them on something at an angle, and give them a quarter-turn every day. You can get great results this way.
