Which refector do i choose outta these 2???

Hi all i would just like to know which outta these 2 reflectors would you suggest i go for.....
1) Powerplant Ultralite Grow Light Reflector
or
2) Adjust-a-wing/ Batwing reflector? Does the heat shield do what it says?

Is there anyone out there who has/is using these? and what are your thoughts? Do you reccommend? My grow area is 1x1x2m (so thats 2m sq?) if that helps with your response Many thx

The parabolic has no vent and the batwing has no sides. Heat shields won't work with either of them.

The Adjust-a-Wing will provide more light at canopy level, a much more even footprint, and allow you to place the bulb closer to the plant. The "heat shield" to which I think you are referring is actually a light-diffuser, and designed to reflect a portion of the lamp's most intense light back into the reflector. We got some free ones at my old store and tested them out and yes, the diffuser helps alot with eliminating the hotspot common to most reflectors.

Thanks for that Philosophelon, the adjust a wings seem like what im looking for and yes i did mean a light diffuser. Have u seen the latest version of the adjust a wing? i think its called the manta wing.

I live in the states, and I don't think we have the manta wing here. The Adjust-A-Wing achieved popularity in Europe before the states, Sunlight Supply just started carrying them in like winter of 07'ish, I don't recall exactly. If you guys have a new version across the pond, it's probably at least as good as the original Adjust-A-Wing, probably better.

I think the manta wing is a new and improved version of the adjust a wing made by the same people i think its about £10-15 more expensive.
