Which promix ?

I have to agree that the HP is definitely the way to go. If you get the BX you have to add a shit load of perlite to get it airy enough. The HP is pretty much ready to go.

Yep, what they said

Yea, I have excellent results with the promix HP with myco.

It can be difficult to find depending on where you are... and shipping is just... expensive as hell.

They were selling the HP (high porosity, 20% added perlite compared to BX) for 39-42 dollars around here and I went to a well known family owned garden center and found the BX with myco for 24 bucks! I filled up the truck and bought a 11 dollar bag of horti perlite (big bag). I get at least 2.5 bales out of one of the bags of perlite. So i think im savin some loot, I figure i have to mix my other amendments anyway, might as well mix the perlite too.

One other thing... For outdoor, I used to just throw the plants in the bale of promix and let them do their thing (add a little organic nutes here and there), always had a good harvest with great taste and aroma.

Good luck! :rasta:

with a one month veg you'll probably be able to get by with 3gal or at the most 4 gal pots. using 5gal is going to use more sq/ft space than you really need to use for that veg time. more space and medium than they need to grow. i'd look at the 3 gal pots for that grow, as long as they're a true 3 gal container.

:joint: Hey Bro,ive done the same thing.I cut a hole in the bale, take some off the top then smash it up so its not so compact.Throw it out side n feed it once a week and ive gotten huge plants. But i use the BX,i always add lots of perlite so it works great, imo.Peace,PVP

i use the bx as well, its all i can get my hands on local.
perlite is a big plus.
not only that but,i would go with the BX since it has that (god i forget the name and i am not home right now)other stuff besides mychorize (?), and with most soil recipes, your gonna have to add extra perlite anyway. :joint:

Promix BX is a general pupose mix,if you want innoculated promix you must use Promix BX with mychorise
