im a fan of the horizontal position, i fel it throws more light to where you want it
are you planning on sinking these bulbs into the canopy, or will they be hung above the plants?
i would also second intimeas sudgestion to avoid the parbolic reflectors
i like the air cooled ones, even if im not running a duct wiht fan through them
i like having that piece of glass there to protect the bulb from over spray
Despite the bad rap parabolic hoods got in the day...and the numbers...they give some of the most even light spread. Very underrated. In real world applications. ..parabolic hoods kick ass.
Another fan here,I run 1K vertizontals hung horizontally for flower, once you've used it you will see how underestimated they are,the only problem I've run into is keeping the room cool but its not that big an issue.I run aircooled in veg, kind of the opposite of your setup. They have DE vertizontals now,my next gig
