Which OG Kush do I have? Bud pics inside..

looks kinda similar, hard to tell when so many factors that can influence the finished look. is that grown under 1k? what day is that? i just learned that when you pick OG before the 8-9 week mark it doesnt come out as good as the 70 day stuff...that extra week or so really makes her swell up, so i recomend taking her all the way.
heres mine kinda early still...
first appearance kinda looks like headband or an OG cross...depends which dispensary too. one of the common OG cuts floating around most clubs is called "platinum OG" which is similar to OG but kinda headbandy if that description makes sense.
they are all phenos of pretty much the same genetic pool so its really hard to differenciate especially with the abundance of mislabeled cuts. we gotta see and smell that shit to make sure what it is...i just grew Fire and SFV side by side and i swear they are almost identical...different in terms of stretch and node length but bud quality is very similar...
heres an interesting pic of the same OG cut side by side....far left grown in hydro picked at 9 weeks, middle grown in soil at 9 weeks, and far right is soil grown just shy of 8 weeks..much more shriveled than the poddy swollen 9 week samples....

this was day 63 of 12/12.. grown in ffof with their bb and tb nutes.. didnt have a lot of stretch.. didnt double, but almost.. grown under two 600s.. ill upload pics later of the whole plant. thanks!

very skunk like.. has a stench that im told cures a little sweeter. but def skunk.
I went to the club the other day and on there top shelf they had..... Pure OG, charlie sheen og, obama og, fire og, ****** og, tahoe og, diablo og, presidential og, louie the VIII og, and chem og. I couldnt tell the difference between half of them my damn self, so your guess is as good as probly anybodys, Call it Mystery OG, secret og, or Special og. as long as its an og, maybe just call it O..... G. Shit gettin rediculous.
yeah it gets ridiculous sometimes however there ARE various OG's that ARE varying in their bouquet or effects. I can tell between valley and tahoe OG by smell like its night n day. The nuances in fine wine are what set it apart from the cheap bottle. Sheen OG is just marketing fools trying to sell a product.
however if your main word to describe it is "skunky" I wouldn't think OG. My OG's have a pledge/pinesol/lemony fuely funk, pretty identifiable as far as smells go, infact real deal OG kush has probably one of the most identifiable smell profiles out of most popular strains.

I cut her tops at day 63 of 12/12, and Im letting the mid part of the plant go to 70..

oh ya thats the definitely supercalifragilisticexpialidocious OG....to tell you the truth your never really going to know the real truth of what it is, it may not even be an OG at all there are so many fakes out here in cali right now its crazy, but if its a good plant then its a good plant bottom line.

never know Zen, crazy composer regurly gets over 3 oz on a 5 week veg on the sfv og, i have never come close to that yield myself, but the smell is the give away, pinsole fuel and its the real deal.
you could yield multiple pounds off one OG Kush plant,..... if you vegged it long enough......
I'm just sayin, compared to my OG Kush cuttings (I have a few different kinds, and they are the real deal) his colas look WAY bigger and less of the typical christmas tree golfballs. Just how its growing, not necessarily the end yield, is whats throwin me for a loop.
it looks good, it looks like it yields well, it could very well even actually be an OG, from those pix though, it doesn't really look like the typical OG cola.
heres my Tahoe OG on day 32 for somewhat of a comparison
just overall not as stretchy of a cola, more squat and compact. granted I realize this is Tahoe vs a potentially different cutting of OG, most of em look fairly similar though.

looks like whatever the og was crossed to was a little bit hairier/leafier than "pure" ogs....
I wonder if thats pirates cross of satori/og... will have to check out his albums/pics.... probably not just a random thought....
yea you might be tempted to pick it around 60 days....WAIT. ive noticed a significant swelling during the 63-70 day mark, packs on an extra gram or two per plant. i think the look will vary from grower to grower, mine are big colas and kinda airy sometimes because of the 1ks, when i grew under 400 she came out much denser. now that ive used 1ks she almost looks like a sour D on crack during flower, but when dried she shrinks down to normal size. the smell is what gives her away....best description is minty lemons dipped in fuel....
