which is best Sealed Room or outside intake/exhaust? poll inside

I was just wondering what the preferred method is with most growers. There are great arguments to be made on both sides, but I wonder what the majority of growers are doing...

So my question is:

1. Do you intake fresh air during exhaust periods or relay on co2 a/c dehumidifier exclusively not having air intake from outside the room?

2. with your carbon filter inline fan combo do you exhaust filtered air outside or keep it in the room? if you keep it in the room is there any ballon effect?

thanks

I can tell you from experience with a controller generator window AC and dehumidifier, you can pull 2 lbs per 1K insoil providing you have 50W sq ft or better.People that say ventilated rooms with no enrichment are more productive have either not grown sealed enriched rooms or weren't doing it correctly.I know,I did it incorrectly for some years lol

Thanks The American did you vote in the poll up top?

I'm in the process of planning out my room. I have a walk in closet and plan on splitting it up into 2 rooms veg/bloom with the bloom room being 4x6x5. I plan on using a CAP PPM-2a Fuzzy-logic CO2 Monitor & Controller in conjunction with a/c dehumidifier. I have 2 options on the intake/exhaust and this is where I turn to the community for help.

If you have 2 choices for your 4x6x5 co2 enriched room design which would you pick? A or B

A. -8' vortex attached to a fresh air source for intake at bottom of sealed room
-8' vortex attached to carbon filter then vented outside
- Both fans controlled by a Plug'n'Grow Relative Humidity & Temperature Controller allowing for day/night
Individual control. These would only activate (and shut off co2) if the a/c or dehumidifier couldn't hold the climate under control.

B. -no fresh air intake
-8' vortex + carbon filter combo + speed controller RECYCLYING the air inside the
bloom room itself and not venting outside

a sealed room done right will always produce better though it is hard to setup and takes alot of initial capital to make it worth it. for plants to benefit from CO2 enrichment the CO2 ppm levels must remain stable over the course of the lights on period. in an unsealed room the only way to come close to stable levels is to periodically vent CO2 and hot air from the room then fill it back up. Not very stable at all .... it will work but better results are had with a sealed room where you truly have complete control over the enviornment.

My carbon filter exhausts outside the room, but then again my room isn't sealed, I'm intaking fresh straight into the room.

There are so many variables on this one I can't lean for one side or the other.
Small one lamp setups aren't worth the trouble of a sealed room, besides you can still use CO2 you just have to regulate the dilevery and time with the exhaust fan on/off cycles.

Big setups in a sealed room are nice if you have the time to tweak it and the $ to automate it.
Humidity can be a problem with alot of plants so it requires ao work to perfect.

1K vertizontals were invented by a group of sealed room cannabis freaks lol,the truth may not be far from that.3-5K BTU per fixture depending on room setup from a wall unit will cool the room, and a dehumidifier to remove the precious water. The shallow parabolic hood disperses the 1K light to a wider area unlike aircooled which are depper and tend to concentrate the light straight downward.I like those for veg when the plants arent so spread out.If I were going to ventilate my fixtures I'd probably go with a ventilated room without co2.I dont know though,co2 rocks..

im running 2x600 in a cool tube with a 8' vortex on a pull/push flow

4x6 footprint is what i'm using it for

my temps will be controlled by the a/c and dehumidifier the fans will be for back up, day time if temps exceed 95 then the intake/exhaust will active deactivating the co2. At night they will run at a lower temps.

i'm growing 60 plants from a 3-4 day veg nlxc99 is the strain single cola style sog.

What size room are you flowering in?You definately want 50 watts a sq ft.You wont be getting that if you use that wattage in relation to that footprint. If you're not filling an entire room I'd use the actual sq. ft of the table or area involved to calculate wattage. You should calculate wattage at a minimum of 50 per sq ft to flower on the actual size of the area involved. My room is 8 by 8 so 64 times 50 equals 3 1K verts lol

my room will be 4x6 max maybe more like 4x5.5 sealed and covered with panda film.

so 6x4= 24x50= 1200watts right TA?
