Which heating pad for cloning and where to get it?

So this is my first time cloning and decided to use coco because that's what I'm using as my medium. The clones have been in the coco for 2.5 weeks now, but the room temp has been 65-70 max and they are under a single cool cfl. I took a couple of clones out to observe(newb I know) and the ends looked really swelled, but no roots. I think it's the temps in the room. So which heating mat/pad do you use and where can I get one?

I went to K-mart and got a double wide heating pad for $15, set on low heat with a towel over it.

home depot has seed kits with a heating mat. didnt see the price tho. as i already got one

Never used one but, I've heard those who do take Cannalicious' advice and avoid direct contact between pot and pad. Cooling racks for cookies is another common spacer.

Does your new K-mart heating pad shut off every few hours? I read on a forum that there are new safety features that make the pads automatically shut off after a few hours.

I bought these. I love the fact nothing gets cooked and an exact temp is maintained. I use it for both seed starting and cutting rotting.

See if you can get one with a thermostat and set it at 24C or 75F.

I went to Home Depot and the didn't have any heating mats at all. So I dropped by a nursery and bought one made by HydroFarm. It does not have a temp setting. Would you still suggest to place something in between the pad and tray? Also, should I try and save my almost 3 week old clones or should I put the mat under the clones that I took last week? Thanks in advance and I'll post my results.

So I've only got 4 out of 36 to root so far and those were actually the 3 week old cuts. The 2nd batch of clones(18) are all dead. I think the problem with the 2nd batch was that I took my cuts when the pots were dried out and I didn't place a towel in between the mat and tray. I cut a 3rd batch of clones and this time I made sure all the plants were well watered b4 cutting and also placed the cuts in water for a couple of minutes b4 dipping in hormone gel. Room temps are now 70-75. Is it even necessary to use the mat? I put a tshirt in between this time.
