Which has more bud?

So I unfortunately don't have the option of growing so I have a few quality hookups I get my green from.

Anyways I was wondering in terms of amount of bud which has "more"

• A few choice large nuggs

or

• Many smaller nuggs

OR

would there be a reason to pick one over the other that doesn't ammout to weight? Like do larger nuggs have more THC?

Also I was curious if you can roast bowls with those little hand held blowtorches? Somewhere I heard it's bad for you but I am not sure.

Well I'll drop my two cents.

I personally go for medium buds when I have the choice -- in my mind best bud to stem ratio.
Small buds have less on little stems, large buds tend to have giant stems. All depends though and I've deviated from it when it was right in front of my face when I made the decision.

Hand held blow torches will heat up your buds too fast and burn them too completely. I'd stay away from those.

Big fat colas are impressive and fun to look at but i always keep the cherry size buds for myself.

"donkey dicks" are full of wood...no pun intended... hehe

in my experience tho any "given" clone seems to produce and equal ratio of wood to bud regardless how u grow it. (bust all the buds off a donkey dick and u get about the same wood ya do in a SCROG)...its just distributed differently.

This is something that I thought of as a thread subject (glad you took it up); the beauty ideal of the monster bud, the donkey dick cola, which doesn't really correspond with quality bud. Every experienced indoor grower knows it.
The big colas are the closest to the light, and the parts that have been roasted under 600W or 1000W HID loose in taste and feel.
The big colas is not first choice, I go with sedanko, I like the mid sized buds best.

good thoughts there from all. have just finshed a main cola ..the last of an ak48. top inch or so was bleached and the whole thing dried much faster and too much compared to others,... ok to smoke but I have had better off this plant

small buds tend to fill out the sack nicely but given them a squeeze and there is no substance... like the fairytale goes....the middle one is just right

im going to be bold and deviate from what im seeing here. as i understand it and i could be recalling incorrectly, larger buds are almost always higher up the plant, and there is a difference in % of thc in the lower vs middle vs high budsights especially when outdoors. outdoors big colas have but one main problem -mold/rot as long as these are taken care of, they are just giant versions of their brethren. i like big nugs best as all of the goodies you want are protected inside of them. biggest stem i think ive ever had came out of a 20 gram cola and it was less than a gram. unless your so hard up for smoke that a single bowl matters.. i say big nugs

but always, always pick what you think is the best.. obviously crappy big nugs arent as good as choice small nugs.
