WHERES THE THC ?

I ask this question because I felt a sort of omen come my way via word of mouth. A year or two ago I grew a plant for a friend. It grew fine, resinous and had the odor both sweet and stinky, but to smoke it was tragedy!!! There was nothing, as in no THC ! no high, no low. . nothin’!! now a week ago my brother came across a friend who he talked to about the plants and, the guy told my brother that when he tried to grow , they amounted to nothing as far as THC content. Once again another person who tried and once again no THC ! no high, no low. . nothin’!! this all seemed kind of “omenish” if you understand what I mean.

So I ask, what are the factors that could be involved in a plant ,of a viable strain and strong genetics not produce any quality results at all? I wanted to find out as many variables that could have an effect and negate them as best I can b4 another grow is attempted

Lots of possible explanations - the obvisious ones - harvest too young, poor dry and cure.

Then - sometimes there are duds, that just don't cut the mustard.

Growin Pot is like a box of chocolotes,, ya never know what you will get till ya test drive it.

can you say clone?
once you find a keeper - you will actually be able to "KEEP HER"
I have a B-52 ZI have grown for a few years - always smells tastes and smokes the same amd is a fair producer, but she was the one keeper out of 2 packs of seeds -

I just spent 7 or 8 months growing Sensi Hashplant - and the first plant is drying, but you could grow a ton of it next door to a cop shop and not raise an eyebrow or a wiff, Even now, no odor - it don't look good.

I feel your pain.

Don't stop growin,-- it gets better.

i'm asking this myself could it be that plants only produce trichome stems and not as many trichome domes for some reason ??....

SolarT: i understand what you wre saying about duds, i mean if you order seeds from anywhere for the $60-$350 that they cost, is it more of a crap shoot? whenever ordering seeds? is that why some seeds breeders are better than others ?

thats just crazy too me, since i was gonna do some research and find a seeds spot to get some really good strains from, but i dont wanna do that if its a crap shoot!

Friend i'd suggest Blockhead from spice of life seeds. i germinated 10/10 seeds over 3 years old with a 9/10 female/male ratio which is probably a little bit of luck. thing that i'm seeing with the blockhead that i really like is that i'm getting the full spectrum of weed a nice sativa, nice indica, and 50/50 looking pheno! absolutely glimmering with trics at 4 weeks 12/12. smell is outstanding coming from the plants and they are hardy.

i've also noticed they can take some stress and it doesnt seem to slow them down. so far its been a very good all around strain that has been a pleasure to grow.

one negative i have noticed is one pheno doesnt like to root very fast or veg very fast but after it takes root and gets grounded it grows strong.

I have never heard of anyone growing Cannabis correctly that wasn't of a hemp variety that gave them no effect. You have to be doing something terribly wrong..I can't think of anything that hasn't already been addressed such as harvesting too early or drying incorrectly or drying in direct sun light. I mean there are a lot of things that could be the reason why your plants give you no effect..

yeah possibly a sativa that didnt have a chance to go the full term. i've never grown any indica or indica/ sativa hybrid that wouldnt get me high by day 40 even.

Gennerally speaking,,,,, Most canabis strains have the needed quaties. But a sensitive person can distinguish between many different strains - with a wide range of traits - WHICH,,, can be altered and mutated by how a plant is grown.

I have spent several months growing some Hashplant from Sensi seeds - You could grow an acre of this next door to a coffeeshop and I don't think anyone would smell it! It really didn't have that "Dankness Maximumness" I grow for, - but from the first test drive - It's pretty good. Sensi says flowers in under 50 days - and they lie like a rug,,,, try 90 - - Did I get burned? sorta. :-(

Investing large sums in quality beans isn't wise if your not sure you can grow most of them to harvest - so order some nice strains from Gypsie Nirvana, and start reading and learning - It's not easy, but if I can do it,,, about anybody can.

One more tip,,, GROW MORE PLANTS!!!

So many times I read about a novice that has a plant or two, or three and they all turn male, get sick or otherwise don't thrive.

Grow the whole pack - if you loose a couple - it's like natural selection for indoor gardening - sorta,,,

Also when it's harvest time, I always wait until the tricks are mostly cloudy with just a few amber ones, but that's just me and folks around here.
