i would get the floramite as it is one class safer then the avid and it kills the eggs.....as with avid you usually gotta spray again 7 days later

So flora safe and better...good luck and 187 on spider mites :asskick:

Avid has 28 days of residual activity which should be enough to get eggs. One treatment was all it took and 8 oz is $90 with enough for 192 gallons of spray total.

Floramite is now EPA approved for tomatoes

Floramite is now EPA approved for tomatoes

For all the people who are always making anyone who uses a chemical ever feel like they are going to kill anyone who even smells their sack google epa approved floramite and tomatoes.

Floramite is better than avid because many species of mite have become resistant to abamectin. Check your local hydro shop a lot of them keep oz's behind the counter.

I bought small amounts of both Avid and Floramite from Hidhut in the past. A friend called today and said...HELP! They had some Floramite I bought for em last year from the Hut but I suggested more to replace what's being used just in case and someone hooked me up with www.hydroinside.com for 2 oz bottles of Floramite for like $33. The Hut doesn't carry small bottles anymore but may give a call to verify.

I totally agree Floramite is safer but my experience with Avid has been a one shot treatment and that's it. Completely took care of problems. I don't live in an area with Avid resistant mites like some encounter so that might be part of it?

Whenever they hit I recommend a couple different treatments back-to-back for those not set on organics so usually Avid then Floramite and a few lights off cycles of No Pest strips just to be sure.

From what I understand if Avid ain't working and you want the next step up in heavy duty it's Oberon...but not available to the general public...just to peeps in the commercial agriculture industry. I will say in comparison to Oberon Avid looks a bit tame but will work no ifs ands or buts.

Found Floramite by the ounce here, and cheap, got one and its by far the best spider mite killer i've used. Obliterated them all after the first use. Haven't seen em since. Think this is a great thing to have in your arsenal. Use it before you go into flower to help guarantee no mites. Free shipping here too.
