Hello! Im on my 2nd grow now but never tried to take cutting´s because i´ve never seen just a clear picture of "this is where you cut" on any of my other forums..So I will ask you guys if you could post a picture and explane to me where I am supposed to cut to take a cutting.

Thanks!

I actually prefer to take my clones from the top half of the plant contrary to what dennisp74 has stated. I find the newer growth roots alot faster imo

the bottom shoots are tender and root better. The stems are nice and soft. Top shoots have a harder stem and thus are harder too root.....not impossible but harder than lower tender shoots are.

As you can see from the responses before mine, it doesn't really matter where on the plant you take the cutting from. I just simply like to make sure there are 4 nodes on the cutting I am taking. I have cloned from the top of the plant, from the bottom of the plant, from the middle of the plant. Often I take the lower branches that I remove before flowering and use those for clones. I also create clones when trimming up my plants, so many of my cuts come from the middle branches of my plants.

just make sure it has a growth tip, and is long enough to put into your media. when doing large clone runs, I have cloned every possible clone from top to bottom and in the past had 95+% success rate. Now I am getting my ass kicked but trying to figure out the problem

I hate to admit this, but a few years ago on my first cloning attempt, I cloned leaves. Yup cut leaves off and stuck them in a bubbler. They rooted but to my dismay, they never grew
