When to use ventilation. Noobie!!

Hello guys,

I was just wondering when most of you start using ventilation for your grows. Do you do it from when it pops it head above the soil or are you waiting a few weeks before you try and develop a thick, sturdy stem. I was just thinking that some damage may be caused to the stem if a desktop fan was put in there after only day 15,16.

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if it's necessary but it's not going to hurt you man. Cannabis has been growing for thousands of years outdoors and there's always wind. The wind will actually strengthen your stem. Lack of wind is why most indoor plants have weaker branches and stems than outdoor plants man....

Remember you are tricking the plant into thinking it is outside. If anything I'd say it's worse for your plants not to bend them whether manually or with a gentle breeze. They prefer tough love.

I'm using an envirolite so no heat problems are occurring. As for the fan, do you leave this on 24 hours a day every day. Or would it be better to keep it on 18/6 like the light.

Doesn't really matter one way or the other in veg. In flower, you'll want to keep that air moving to reduce your chances of mold and budrot.
