When to stop training scrog during flower?

I am running a 3x3 scrog, i am 10 days into flower, i have read you should keep training till the second week of flower. But i am running a double scrog, with the second screen about 5" above the first, though second screen has yet to be installed.

They are starting to flower, and the tallest tips are about 3.5-4" above the bottom screen.

Thank you!

What do you mean by nodes start stacking? Problem is, these two plants i bought already vegged, they were not trained for a scrog from the get go, so it was a bit uneven, and i don't have much room left to train in some areas. Also does it look like i need to thin it out in some areas? I don't want to get bud rot, cause i had too thick of a canopy.

Thank you!

Also did you run a double screen? The top screen will support the buds from flopping over, and i do have plenty of head room so my tips will not burn. This is my first scrog so i just dont know how this will turn out if i just let them go at this point, but in some areas, i do not have much of an option, unless i want to start topping, and that would be a really bad idea at this point, would it not?

Clearly i should have flipped sooner, but i cant change that now, just looking for the best course of action going forward. The canopy is pretty even, could be a bit better, but not the worse either, given the fact it was never trained to be in a scrog to begin with.

I was dealing with a mag deficiency, so i did not want to flip till i got that under control, i should have cut it back after i got a handle on that, before i flipped to flower.

Thank you!

If head room is no issue, id say let her roll. Looks good

Thanks for the advice, ill take a look at the highest tips tonight, see if i cant move them one more time, but then i think ill let her go.

This is what i started with, bought two mothers from some dude, who did not know you needed to run extra mag in coco. They had a very bad mag deficiency when i got them, now they are in 5 gallon hempy buckets.

RockinRobot Never mind, i get what your saying about nodes stacking, was having a moment. lol

I just put in 2 hours of training, was able to train just about the tall tips back a bit, all but a few on the edge, they have no where to go.

Should i be removing the nodes under the stretch, the tops of my tips are starting to stack again, looks like stretch is just about over.

Also should i be thinning, how many tips should i allow per 2x2 square? In some spots i have two, and a few there are three, but i assume i cant have that many, or i run risk of bud rot?

Thank you!

surprised you are not getting more advice in this thread.
as I'm new to scrog as well, I was hoping to glean some tips and tricks here too LOL
I've got a bonsai mom I have taken 3 rounds of clones from and just flipped it almost a week ago with a small net over it. I'm just tucking everything back under as it stretches, leaving bud sites under open squares in the net. Once I see buds forming, I'm going to add a second net and trim off everything below the first net. This variety likes to stretch into week 4 and in the past few days of 12/12 it's almost filled the net in with tops or sites that will be tops :D
