When to start counting

When do I start counting flowering days with autos? Is it after 4 sets of leaves, 8 total? Just so I can have a better idea of when I will be harvesting.

Thanks,
P.P.

Usually it's obvious when they start pushing out flowers, a couple of days after the first preflowers.

Most seed info is" seedling to harvest 55 days". Or the norm, about 72-75 days. Shorter finishes earlier and indica dom. Inside, depending on light intensity, closer to the actual seed to harvest projection. Some breeders exaggerate. Grown outside, I add a week or more to other breeders estimate harvest time.

I got the loupe. I see "flower time" on seeds. But have heard different things about when to start counting flowering. Some people have said when X amount of leaves are in and also once you start to see flowering. Just wondering so I can do my best to have dry area cleaned and ready and for a ballpark on starting my germ of next round of seeds. So far seems like people's personal experiences differ and mine will dictate what I see working for me?

Thank you aridbud. Growing the plants has become part of the experience of enjoying the bud!

Exactly! Autos, some say they won't grow them.
For us and thousands of others, it has its place. In the veg garden while growing photos, guerilla, quick meds needing them, or just the experience like you mentioned.

Whatever melts the butter, yes?
