when to plant geminated seeds?

Hey everyone. New grower here. I am in the process of germinating some seeds to test out growing with. My question is, once the taproot starts to break out of the seed, how long should I wait to get that into its medium. In my case, soil. I tried to search around a bit and couldnt find a good answer, so sorry if this is a repost, or there is a sticky on this already. If so, just point me to it, and I will be glad to read away. Thank you in advance.

:thank you:

Depending on how many seeds your starting (if it's like 10 or 20) just put them right in the soil. About 1/2 inch deep. If your starting many seeds and are limited for soil and pots then start them in paper towel first. As soon as you seed a root put it in soil right away.

Plants need food. The reason soil growers are told not to "feed" seedlings for a week or more is that soil IS food. Get them in soil. Starving the baby? Bad.
