When to harvest Jack Herer ... ?

These plant are looking pretty good and they really stink.

I was wondering what color trichomes do you like when you harvest Jack Herer Indoor?

I looked at it with my Radio Shack microscope and the Trichomes look mostly Cloudy.



Let me know what you think.

With some sativa dom lines like the JH I find myself often never finding much amber if any at all. Pheno dependent of course.

I usually run JH from 60-75 days but most times not I harvest by look and indication given by the plant that the harvest window is open. I wouldn't think of taking down what I see here for at least another few weeks.

I usually grow Indica's and I am surprised it is finishing so quickly.

I think I will let it go a couple of more weeks, maybe flush it and wait for the leaves to turn yellow.

I won't need the flower room for 3 or 4 weeks.

they look like they need weeks more to each their full potential, not saying that these will not get you high, but if you let them get properly mature, they will smell even better, get you a lot higher, for a lot longer.

If you do not believe me, take some this weekend, photograph it at chop, dry, keep some safe to compare against later harvested flowers, (also with photos) ... compare. You have some this far, why harvest something so ordinary and "commercial" when you can harvest primo A1 buds in a few weeks time ?

Nice profile... I found 3 smelling phenos when I ran Sensi Jack, and a few overall profiles.. 1 smeller-smells like pine(haze), another is fruity(shiva), and the other is skunky like a NL hybrid.

The most sought after pheno is the NL structure, Shiva flower stacking, and haze smell and taste. I ran it a while back when it was being traded in the NorCal Bay Area clubs.

by looking at it, I`m going to assume you have a common 9-10 week pheno. the haze phenos can go another couple of weeks.

The question is how do you like your Trichomes on Jack Herer before you chop?

These Buds are totally plumped out and all Trichomes are all cloudy or dark.

I think I'll chop it tomorrow after I check it again.

I just cut off the fan leaves and strung them up.

Please do update when you get them dried and cured, I'd like to read your impressions. I've got just two Sensi Jacks I got as freebies and would like to grow them but have other things on the docket. A vicarious harvest is nearly as good sometimes.

These were from clones and they grew really well.

The Buds were 3-5 inches long and around 2 inches round.



We'll see how they dry and cure.

Got 7.35 ounces of dried buds in the Jars.

I'll give it a smoke test later in the week and I will keep you posted.

I smell like weed, it has a very strong smell and Trichomes all over.

I wish I had a camera to take close ups, but I don't. The Buds look just like I have seen in other reviews, they look awesome.

The smell is incredible and very strong. A spicy, piney, sweet smell.

When you break open a Bud, the smell is even stronger.

When you grind a Bud the aroma is fantastic .

I rolled a joint and lit it up...

I took a few tokes and the draw was very smooth and tasty, I took 3 hits.

I started to feel the elevated high right away

I will finish this joint and report back a little later. O.K. I am starting to feel it really come on
