When to flower clones

So I have some Maple Leaf Indica going right now. I got a mom and 3 clones I cut 12 days ago rooted today. I planted them in 3" planters. They are about 4" tall and have 2 nodes and then the main grow tip. If I want to do SOG style, how long should I veg them in the small pots, and what size planter should I transplant into when I flip the lights?

Some pics of whats flowering under 400HPS at about 15 days.

There are people who veg for 2 months, some veg for 2 weeks, some that veg for 2 days. I guess it depends on how big you want the plants/nugs. Some SOG growers veg for little time preferring a ton of small colas fitting tightly together. I would maybe put them into 1 gallon pots, let them adjust from transplanting stress, still under 18/6 for a couple days, then when you see resumed growth, throw them in to flower, calculating that they will triple in size by the time they are done...

okay thank you very much, so for a SOG do i need to cut off the lowesr side branches....will it from 1 cola naturally or do i need to train/mess with it to produce a fat cola?

DJ if you are going to veg for a week, trust me 1 gallon pots will be more than enough,I flower in 2 gallon pots and veg for 4 weeks! If you only have a few plants and plenth of room I probably wouldnt do anything to them, cutting off the side branches has never increased yield for me it must be very strain dependent because some folks swear by it,I always get more if I dont touch it.

Here's a shiva clone that had 0 days of veg...pulled right at 30 grams in a 1 gallon pot of coco...

You WILL need to remove the lower branches...I cut about 2/3-3/4 or the branches off right as the stretch ends. Only leave a small upper branch if it's already even with the tip of the main cola...that'll keep you from getting any popcorn nugs. Had a few that I tested by removing less branches and they ended up with lots of smaller buds, the cola was noticably smaller and the total weight was slightly lower. Biggest benefit IMO of trimming all those branches is when you harvest, it's a snap to trim a single large cola...popcorn takes forever to clean.

OK thanks guys. MTF when you say 0 veg days does that mean when the clone rooted, you planted and threw it into 12/12 as soon as it had roots?

And what size light? I'm using a 400 HPS.

Normally when people say no veg time, they do give the roots a chance to takle hold, maybe 5 days.Dont have to though, maybe he doesnt give any 18/6 time, only he knows for sure

I just left them in my cloner for 2 weeks until they were fully rooted and threw them in coco the next day with the lights on 12/12 at about 3-4" tall...no 18/6 or 24/0 at all after they were potted. Also had a few that had been vegging for several weeks that I pruned the same way and there was practically no difference on them (yield/size wise).

Ran 2k this round...1 Agrosun Gold MH and 1 Hortilux Eye HPS.

That's very helpful, all of you thanks. But thats with 2000 watts.....I'm using a 400HPS, what yield would be comparable?

It just means that I can have 5x as many of them  I had 72 plants under that 2k...you shouldn't have any problems with 16 plants under a 400 in a 3x3 space.

Yield is dependent on ALOT of factors...that's a pretty good yielding pheno and the room was sealed with CO2 at around 1100 ppm - which greatly contributed to the bud size IMO.

Yes I can fit about 16 plants, I have 2 mothers that are about 1.5 months old. I need to train and prune them so i can take 6 clones a week combined from the 2, and then flower 4 a week.
