When to feed Autoflowers for the first time?

Working with Spanish Autflowers under African sun.

I was originally planning to first use a fertilzer after about 2 weeks.

Green Point Sinsi Flora.

Should I first feed them at night or in the morning? When is the best time to first introduce a lil juice?

I have a limiter supply of this stuff and I am working with 9 plants.


Do they need this stuff once a week until the final week? Or should I skip the final 2 weeks? Fertilize until the end?

I am also saving my coffee grounds, egg shells for extra fertilizer if I run out.

Also heard that my own urine can be good. I am very healthy.

Not sure about the fertilizer you are using, but in the past, I don't feed autos until I know the sex of the plants. Feeding is best in the morning-all plants uptake nutrients during the day and then enter a rest period at night.
Feed at every other watering.
Skip the last two weeks of feeding, especially if your fert is non-organic.
Go easy on the coffee grounds, they can be very acidic.
Don't pee on your plants, again, very acidic.

sounds like we turn back to '70 reading about urine.. Anyways, Spanish autos are awesome, they will like african sun; if u are growing in soil just wait until they ask before to give any nutes: in my exp. i fertilize from week 2 or 3 when im using soil, but it usually depends on light exposition/cycle.

I wouldnt give autos any nutes until they get their third set of nodes and then start with 25% and see how they like it. What kind of medium are you growing in?

I am growing in 11 liter pots ( 2.5 gallons) Maybe too big? On a balcony/porch. Great sun from noon until 8 pm.

Indirect sun from 8am to noon.

No clouds in the sky. No chance of rain. Pretty great conditions.

I read the urine idea on here!

I think the bottle says 4-7 ml per liter. Does that sound right?

And yes the fertilizer is organic. So if coffe, ground egg shells and pee arent good, then if I run out of this fertilizer should I use a more commercial product after? Or what other natural fertilizer can I find?

not true at all..


-as to feeding, we don't even know what the plants look like yet..
-strength of solution
-soil you are working with


rule of thumb, go light, and work your way up.. don't burn then reduce.. you are for sure gonna want to add nutes through the cycle though.. problem is I can't tell you when as I'm not there.. to many variables.. feeding time doesn't matter.


the shells / grounds are better "cycled" first before introducing.. worm bin / composter... but you should know what they do, not just, there good for my plants thought..

-eggshell raise pH, and add Ca
-grinds lower pH, add N some Mg and K
-pee lower pH, adds alot of N, little P and K

if you want, mix pee at 1 to 10 ratio or even more dilute... your choice

I'd save my nutes until youre plants finish their vertical growth they really dont need nor like much before they flower and autos grow best if you dont add bloom nutes til their vertical growth is done. Also i'd expect them to take another 45-60 days on top of the stated time unless youre looking for a quick fast plant go ahead and start giving her nutes when she shows sex.

Plants don't rest at night. The roots grow a lot at night.

Personally. I grow all my autos in beer cups until they sex. Then I transplant them to their final resting place and feed give them a drink of superthrive and bud blood. Then they get a my normal blooming nutrient concoction feeding once a week until one week before harvest.

Makes the most sense, or at least 2-3 weeks from seed, depending on the medium you are growing in. Even difference types of soil (tomotoe vs canna) can make a difference to when you should nutes.

Is the whole pee thing from the idea that pee contains small amounts of nitrogen?
