Each to their own I know and it's a matter of preference however I like to get opinions.

So how long from the pics would you say until the chop ? Also would it get any fatter after this stage ?

It's my 1st auto strain...hindu kush

I like to harvest when I see just a few amber trichomes. I suggest you do a partial harvest about 3 times, a week apart. Compare them for future reference to see what you like. Good luck. -granger

Sounds like an idea..Thanks.

Problem is I rarely run the same strain twice

By your photos, I would estimate about 2 wks of flower remaining. They have a nice swell but need to ripen and finish a bit more. Stay patient. Granger made a good suggestion, as far as doing a trial to see what suits your taste.
I also go by amber/milky trichomes and overall color/finish of the plant.
If a plant has amber trichs but is still fading through the fall colors, I will let her go a bit. Nothing worse than chopping a plant full of chlorophyll. Good luck on harvest!

A great guy once said wait until you think they're done and then wait another 10 days

Get yourself a 30X (or stronger) jewelers Loupe and look at you Trichomes.
As you said, it IS a matter of preference. Me? My harvest "window" starts when their are no more clear Trichomes. I like to get stoooooooned so i usually harvest at about 75% amber...

This! Except me personally, I need a 60x minimum to tell if they're cloudy or not and I have fantastic eyesight.

When in doubt, just harvest part of it now and part of it in a week, smoke later and you'll have your answer lol.

Your right because I already have a 30 x also and the trichomes appear tiny.

Also I agree on all the opinions of telling when to harvest but my question was more aimed at people's preferences and what they look for. Personally I leave it slightly longer than most for that cbd couch lock hit

Have you ever tried doing the harvesting over the course of a week to get both effects?

Nope but sounds like an idea I think I would leave slightly longer than a week between to get the full effect...by the way I'm gonna check out your lemon kush grow as I have some of those waiting to go

Just depends on exactly what stage of "ripeness aka 100% cloudy in a perfect world" the plant is in when you start the process. Just scope it every single day (in different areas and different depths).
