When to chop???

7 1/2 week after first sign of sex NYCD cross indica dom, trichs are 25% cloudy maybe a little more. When can I expect to chop should I start a two week flush about now that would make it about ten weeks when finished I am worried about bud rot.
Main cola is pretty dense if someone thinks I should start flushing, maybe next week I can start to cut into the bud to allow some air into cola.

if out, I can understand you.

but if indoors, why get rot? what is your relative humidity in there?

flush, in two weeks should be ready, maybe more, keep checking the trichs.

if you notice a day in the next two weeks where they smell specially good, chop that day, imo.

Unless you're overcrowded, I doubt rot will be a problem. Are you seeing condensation?

No FreezerBoy I don't see condensation I am just a little overly cautious. I don't want to loose any!
Bombbadil.360 I don't know my humidity level and I am indoors I need to get a humidity Gage. Do you mean I should flush now or should I flush in two weeks? I am thinking flush now, a two to three week flush can't hurt.
Maybe I am just such a newb.

A hygrometer can be had at RadioShack for $20 or so. For a general idea of your areas RH, look up your local airport on the web.

If you want something to smoke just harvest a small branch. IMO the biggest mistake you can make now is harvesting too early.

C, you're right, I mean, start flushing now, a two weeks flush will do good; but before you start, give them a last very light meal. ideally you wanna chop once the leaves start turning yellow and fall off by themselves.

you can even skip the last meal if you feel they're close to getting ready.

This time of year the outside humidity is pretty low.. so I wouldn't worry about it if you have decent flow. If you're worried about it then run a fan to mix up the air and you'll be ok.

That said.. you have a good two week window to harvest. If you go to short, it could be bad. To late, and you're prolly going to be alright.

yeah, dont be scared to take a tester bud, but leave the rest of the plant till 90% of the trics are milky and you have some amber ones too (some people like more amber)

for the inexperienced, this is a good rule of thumb - wait till you think it's ready and then give it another week

as for mold - as long as you leave extraction and circulation fans on 24/7 - its pretty unusual to get budrot indoors. if you do then you need to sort out your environment...
