When should I harvest if I plan on revegging?

I have 2 of these at about 7 weeks into flowering.

I am gonna have to reveg one of them just in case the reveg clone doesnt root. I deffo am not gonna stop feeding the one I plan on in revegging but should I let it go to full maturation or take it as soon as I can?

Any other tips on saving this cultivar are welconed and appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Reveging takes for freaking ever. The earlier you do it the less trouble it will give you...
you would have to be the judge on that trade off of crop versus saving the cut is ideal.

That's a nice looking plant, what's so special about it? I'd say if you can go without smoking it and you have other bud for now do whatever it takes to keep the cultivar. I'd want to keep it too.

Cut back on nitrogen towards harvest, not a full flush. The small plant trying to reveg won't like full strength nutrients.

Reveg noob.

Reveg noob.

Thanks everyone.

Heres the plan. Since I have 2 plants, I am gonna take one to the full 70. I already switched to plain water on that one.

The other one I am gonna try to get to 63 but I doubt it will make it. Prolly like 2-3 more days and back into veg. This one is still on its low nitrogen, high phosphorus diet at the moment.

I plan on switching back to veg nutes when she goes back in the closet.

The reveg clone is not really making progress like it should by now and its stinking up the veg area. 2-3 more days without a callous or something and its getting smoked.

I took a little piece off to try it and imo the effects are very special.

What are the chances the plant dies in transition?

I am thinking I should just reveg them both?

Did you leave the lower popcorn buds on or did you lollipop them?

If you plant on revegging then it's best to leave the lower branches on, as they will not be as mature as the top branches, and so will reveg easier.

That plant looks harvestable, lots of trichomes and some brown hairs.

You need to leave some buds on the plant to reveg, the new growth will come out of the buds, if you want it all and take all the buds and then want the plant to reveg then it wont happen, you have to pay the piper and leave some buds on the plant.
Leave about 1/4 to 1/3 of the buds on the plant, the lower buds, and give a shot of high nitrogen (about 25% N) fertilizer and keep under 24 hours a day of intense light.

I went for it.

I took off most of the top and left as many bottom buds as I could. I could still try the other plant if this one goes bad.

The replies in this thread was exactly what I needed to give this a shot with some confidence.

I think I got this.

thats lookin good. what strain is it?

Ive revegged a few times now over the years, and yours looks like it should be fine. Only different thing ive done is cut back on the roots, and changed to a smaller pot. But thats because my veg area was tiny. It took some time, but they did reveg, pulled out some twisted leaves, then single leaves then started the journey back to normality. From what ive read, the lights shouldnt be too close if its a powerful light (eg 600w MH/HPS), and the ladies should be given all the time they need, rather than rushed into normal service.

Ive got a clone currently in reveg. Well, ive got 4 different strains in reveg. Bought the clones, and only in week 4-5 of flower did i think about keeping the genetics. Noticed that some strains take to reveg quicker than others.

Sprayed full strength nitrogen first time, and it seemed to burn some of them. Ive lowered it, and they seem to be happy with one spray a week.

I cut off most of the flowers, and that seemed to help them create new growth quicker. I cant recommend that to you tho, as you have fully formed flowers.

think its been 3-4 weeks, under a 110w light 24/0

here it is now.

I preferred to spray the nitrogen on rather than pour into the soil. Ive kept the soil fed with seaweed and humic fulvic acid drinks.

When ive done larger pots for revegging, ive personally felt it took longer to get back to full health. When they reached the above looking stage, i cut all the fully formed flowers off, and the new growth seemed to come back quicker. i will try and find some photos of the larger reveggers if you want.

However, if you have time on your side, its probably only a matter of days-weeks difference.
When saving a special strain, time isnt that important.

Peace

oops, when i said 'i cut the fully formed flowers', i kinda meant to say i trimmed the buds. The new growth came from where the bud was, so i tried to 'shave it down' if that makes sense. I didnt just chop the whole bud. I trimmed the bud down to the new shoots of growth. Doesnt have to be done, but i just didnt like it as it started to dry out .

Hope that helps, and wishing you much luck and success.

^^This. I have trimmed the top part of buds (like slightly topping), seems to stimulate growth from the sites below in the flower.

@ shiskaboy, you might want to try this on some of the flowers you have remaining. And watch the watering, don’t over water.

Good luck
