When Is The Best Time To Harvest..

I know the guidlines are to cut right when the trichs are swollen and almost opaque in color...but My trichs always are so versatile its like i'll have lots of clear swollen ones, some milky and some opaque....I am trying to justify cutting one of my NYCD's tonight....she is in her tenth week and very very small ...tiniest plant u probably ever seen in flowering....anyways she my smallest one and i think she could be harvested...but im so into the soma idea of waiting a week, but i feel that this one is not gonna do much more ..however the other 2 are blowing up like hiroshima....so i gotta leave those......goin on and on with those white bouquets of pistils that the NYCD shits out in the last weeks.....

anybody have any advice...

thanks highness,

I may be ready ...
I may not be...
how do i justify giving her the chop...?
I mean she is ahead of the others due to her size i guess...she is just a mere couple of grams.....like a little bonsai....a mini....bonus baby...

Any other thoughts..????

need the weed??

need the weed??

I say if u need the weed take it down, if its just a little plant that isnt going to put on many grams in the next few days its not gonna affect your overall yeild. If u dont need the weed, let it go a few more days to be sure of it.
At the end of the day though ppl take em at diferant times from eachother, personally i let most go on the longer side where others like to take em earlier with many clear trich's, its a matter of personal choice:), why not take half of it now, half later?
Goodluck watever u decide .

Amber trichomes are the absolute most favorable as far as taste and stoneage, however, 3/4 cloudy white gets a fella pretty damned messed up too! After a while you can tell without much guessing, but it's hard to explain in exact terms, as ripeness varies from plant to plant.

The above is not entirely correct in this context, amber trich's do not neccessarily make for the best stoneage, it's more of a personal thing, if you like a more up high then harvest when roughly half of the trich's a clear and swollen and the other half are cloudy, the clear ones are those that contain the most THC, as the plant matures further the THC degrades in to CBD's and CBN's, one of which isn't psychoactive and the other of which produces a more narcotic stone, so, if you like an upper high, harvest half clear half cloudy, if you like a more narcotic stone harvest when half are cloudy, and half are amber, this color change represents this degredation of the THC in to the other cannabinoids. Good Luck, enjoy your deisel, I'm jealous.

Thats all up to the individual and preference. IMHO if all trichs are amber the potency is waning and THC is converted to CBD at a higher rate than when buds are taken as glands cloud. I don't take mine until the trichs are almost all cloudy but before the red tint begins to really show. But again this is MY preference. 5 Experienced growers could inspect the same plant and agree on almost everything. Ask them when to take it and all 5 will probably differ.

I agree it's a personal prefference when you harvest depends on the high you wont. If you wont the plant to be fully mature get a microscop that's the most perfered method to chech tricks.

Also if your growing for personal then harvest a sample bud , dry it and decide if it's what you wont in a high. after all it's your grow and your high if you dont like it or think it could be better then let her chill longer and a tip canabis plants pack on lots of bud in the last few weeks so early harvest will mean less yeild.

My 2....:D

let me ask ya this.............

let me ask ya this.............

.................how do you like your apples? hard as a rock, little green, some sour to it. or all red, still snaps when ya bite it, sweet juicy taste, or dark red, no crispness, soft pulp, sweetness has went to far?

indica bud, ill go to half amber, remember thc still breaks down in the jar.

sallies, as soon as I can tell they arent growin anymore trics, first signs of cloudiness.

>When Is The Best Time To Harvest..
To directly answer that question ... NOW. Now is always the BEST time to harvest. (when isn't a bad time for a harvest?) :)
But as to when is YOUR plant ready? I dunno.

Check them trichs- I just got a used microscope for $4.50 just for that. Good luck bro.

I try to harvest branch or plant when most or all flowers look like they have mature full size seed in them even if sinsa. wait till all or most single flowers swell up fully like seed ready inside. do not leave to much after this swell happens. lose potentcy and yield then.
