just depends on how big and how much harvest you want at the end :) you can start flowering right from seed but the buds and harvest will be small, just go by that the plants will be pretty much double or triple the size when you finished with flower from what they were when you started the flower.

I did 4 weeks on my ak-47, you can do something like 4 - 8 weeks on northren lights, but again it depends on how much room you have :)

the plants are looking nice but let them get some more nodes and branches before you start flowering, have you considdered any training for them ?

edit: now that you have transplanted you should be patient as well, they are gonna take a while to get the root system in check, I did this as well for my plants, repotted in very big pots after only about a week, they almost stopped growing for about a week and then BOOM all of the sudden crazy growing so be patient :) enjoy the grow !

yeah Ommi is right, its mainly about the size of your space specifically height.

when you switch 12/12 most plants are gonna flower and give you about a foot or more once they stop vegging. while you veg the plant produces one way, but in flower it produces another.

root space is a factor as well. your best guide for space is to be realistic, and thats taking everything into consideration. youve got your grow space but many growers dont think about the height of their pots of the height of their light hoods.

ie- youve got a 5' space, your pots/bags are about a foot tall, your light hood is about 8-10" in height but hangs about 4-6" from the roof of your space, so 5' - (10" + 6") = 3',8" of actual grow space, so in this example this person has 3',8" of space for teh plant to actually grow in, so this person would want to flower or switch to their 12/12 cycle at about say between 8" to 15" of plant height in veg.

also tae into account whether your dealing with sativas or indicas. sat's take longer and need more height while indicas need more width and take a shorter time. if youve got a straight up sat (depending upon your space) then you'll have to flower early, a straight up indica branches are gonna end up fighting for space width wise and you may have to trim those fan leaves along the way to make sure everyone gets light.

IMO, and whats worked for me, is trimming the main stem fan leaves about a week or two into flower, the other leaves near the bud sites and branches will pick up the slack.

most strains today are a 60/40, 70/30 or even 80/20 mix so whatever one you have just take into account the higher ratio and you should be ok

look at as many pics as you can on IC, as many grow diaries as you can so you can get a better idea of what your plants needs are and what you may have to deal with in the long run.

i would advise you to pm as many people as you can as opposed to asking a general thread Q. that way you get specific information and are talking to someone that my know that strain a lil more intimately than you do.

your a grower and are off to a damned good start, but your inexperience comes with/from that particular strain'

EDIT- i know space is limited but try to get a lil fan in there near the top of the plants to help with respration, unless you have it and i just cant see it. it doesnt have to be anything phenominal just asmall fan will do, like 2" or 3" fan hanging off of a line or something

oh yeah and dont forget to take your cuts/clones right a day or two before you switch 12/12 save you time from having to deal with the guess work that comes along with seeds

Thanks Very much for the information. It´s a lot of question marks.
And I rly don´t know where to turn, but thx for this great information!

Well I got 2 fans,1i at the buttom thats for intake, and 1 at the topp
thats exhoust. Is it important to have the exhoust fan on? it spins anyway.. makes some noice...

Here is a picture of the grow box :

I was planing on switching to 12/12 as soon as they start growing good again after switching pots, what you think about that?
will be like 3weeks. What happens if I veg them to long? Can they get to big?

I relly have no Idea when to stop vegging, thanks for the replys!

I relly have no Idea when to stop vegging, thanks for the replys! you'll know when, it just seems weird because its new, but after this time youll be a pro

plants from seed, need a longer veg then plants from clones. reason for this is you have 1-2 weeks of germination, another 2-3weeks before they become sexually mature (pre-flowers). it looks like yours are just out of the germination/seedling phase, I would give them another 2-3weeks minimum before starting the flowering phase. look into some type of training like topping, LST or ScroG so you can keep the plants short. remember your the grower, so you need to be in control of every aspect of the plants life. once you've mastered this you will have maximum yeild in your setup

OK LISTEN UP YOU CAN START FROM DAY 1,BUT WHAT TYPE OF LIGHT ARE YOU GOING TO USE FOR FLOWER? ALSO WHAT TYPE OF STRAIN DO YOU HAVE ? IF ITS MOSTLY INDICA YOU WANT TO VEG LONGER 4 TO 5 WEEKS TO GET A NICE BIG YIELD.IF ITS A SATIVA DOMINATE STRAIN YOU MAY WANT TO FLOWER IT AFTER 2 WEEKS IT WILL CONTINUE TO GROW DURING FLOWER SOMETIMES TRIPLING IN HEIGHT. ONCE AGAIN WHAT TYPE OF LIGHT FOR FLOWER?

This is a little budget grow.. Still.. thats what I got and lets do the best
of it :) and again Im using Northern Light

So I´m supposed to cut the bigger leafs? So it wount block the light??
Or what you mean with training:p plz link nice tread :)

Is it important with nutrition?s

Does it mather if out or intake fan is on?? The intake fan is good becouse its making it a little "windy" in the box hahaha. And also the Outtake fan automatickly is on, becouse its become some kind of air pressure or something in the box..

I will start vegging when they show sex, (Seeds are feminized)

thanks for all help!
