When in flowering the ladyes stink the most?

Hi

I have a white rhino and and a.m.s. in flowering stage week 4. They smell but not as bad to make me problems. Will they smell more later in flower? How much more?
Can i get without odour control with 2 plants? I dont care if the room where they are stinks but i dont want to be sent in my whole apartment.

Its not hard to make a diy carb fillter but i cant aford more noise in that room, the blowing fan is allready have some noise, dont want anymore fans and much noise.

Mr. Marks, it is highly recommended you control all smell. You'll grow accustomed to the odor and get surprised when others smell it. Odor control is one of the first three guidelines:

No tell, no sell, no smell. Happy Holidaze.

they will smell more and more until you cut. odor control is a must. if you are worried about it at all you must have a carbon filter of some sort. if your worried about adding fans dont just use what you use to exhaust your area put the filter ahead of it.

thats a good one, no tell, no sell, no smell. But you know noise can be alerting too if you have neighbours, maybe they cant smell a thing through walls but having a 24/7 sound of blowing fans can be questioning.

God ideea, ill try to use what i allready have to blow the air through filter, thanks, might work.

You live in an apartment with no odor control!? are you insane? Either get a filter and be safe or get busted.. <--- those are your ONLY two options.. Good luck.

How about ionizers? Do they work for smell control for just 2 plants?

@adam 4th week of flowering, they cant be sent just if i open that door where they are.

Ionizers will cost more than a nice DIY carbon filter and will barely work. I really recommend a carbon filter. You can dampen the sound by placing the fan in a vented box. Lots of things to dampen the sound a little, but that's besides the point. Smell is more suspicious than what sounds like a fan blowing 24/7! Just don't place it near a wall that is by a neighbor.
Be safe.

If you get the proper sized fan, you can roll down the speed with a controller, lessening the noise.

You might be able to hear a fan in the same room (or next to the growing area. But a small amount of (local) fan noise isn't as revealing as smelling up the whole apartment.

Ebay has scrubbers as low as $50 shipped. But you need to size the scrubber according to your grow area and fan flange.

lots of things can generate a little humming noise, fans, computers, aquariums...only one thing generates marijuana odor !! id rather be a little noisy than way stinky !!!

i agree with whodair. in my apt. days i had 2 4in eco fans on all the time. you couldnt hear them in my neighbors place and upstairs in the apt. it just sounded like a bathroom fan. with the growroom door open... if you think its a problem make mufflers, wrap the fans in blankets or some foam or make a box for them if your handy and have access to tools. maybe you should pick up some ona if its gonna take you a bit to get your shit together. onas ten bucks for the pucks or 20 for the gel. i use the gel but its not a substitute for carbon, will get you by until you can get some in place. set it by your exhaust or intake.

Great to hear Howard Marks. You can find some great deals on granular activated carbon on eBay. I suggest granulated over pellets, more surface area for odor molecules to get trapped in. I also run a couple ona blocks in my cabs in conjunction with the scrubber.

Good luck.

I havent had so much luch with the diy carbon filter, im kind of lefty hand when i can find proper pieces to set one but im very pleased with the ona pro bloc, its set near the ventilation and i cant feel a bit of cana smell at all(two plants), nor in the room they grow, nor near. Ona smell like fresh something, shampoo, soap or something, very good for the price.

love this post.

some people don't care if a room smells... not knowing it sticks outside house...

Yeh and you leave home for 30 hours and when you return you dont smell a thing outside the room. I understand that you get used with the smell but after 30 hours outside the house, your nose should feel if it stinks outside.
