When does trich production normally start?

Hey everyone. I'm at day 21 of flower on my first grow. So far, so good. I am very happy with my results so far. However, I am wondering when my buds will start to frost up a little. I'm pleasantly surprised with how big they are already, and expected them to be smaller at this point, so I'm psyched about that. I just want to know when I can expect to see some trichs. I know a lot will depend on strain and pheno, and a ton of other variables, but I'm just looking for a ballpark estimate. Here is what they look like so far.

n e who. like you said, it depends on the strain as to when trichs will begin to form.... i've had plants that take longer than what it is taking for you and i've had plants that were bursting with trichromes before there was even anything that could be classified as a bud.... so just be patient. looking good

They look real good.... Should start showing trichs soon.... Real soon... Those buds look well developed, they should slow down in growth soon and start fattening up....

Unfortunately, all I have is a cheap magnifying glass. That is how I got some of those pictures. lol Pointing a camera through a magnifying glass. I know, it's pretty ghetto. That's why a lot of pictures have the black on the left, and are out of focus. Is there a good place to get a cheap microscope? I'd love to get a close up view of any trichs.

By the way, I just got home and checked my girlies. Several have very visible trichs. If I had waited a few hours, I wouldn't even needed to create this thread. Thanks everyone for your input. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Notcoolzues, congrats on your frosty discovery. Like rookie said, ur buds most likely will be slowing down in the next couple weeks and really start to fatten up. God i love those fat ladies!
