ive had problems with figuring out the perfect time to plant here in hawaii....everytime i plant it only gets a foot high...i want monsters.....what is the best time?
Aloha Bagada, the tropical climate in Hawaii means your day/night light shcedule stays close to 12/12 year-round, which would trigger instant flowering in most weed strains that contain Indica genes, regardless of what time of year you plant. I once tried out White Widow here in the tropics, and I would up with a two-inch long bud that developed right away after the seed sprouted. Indicas hate the tropics, fer sure.
The good news is that carefully choosing a pure landrace sativa such as Kulu Seeds Thai, Seedsman's Mama Thai, or World of Seeds Thai, you will get plants that take their time to do a good stretch before they get to budding. All of the above Thai seeds are dirt cheap, by the way.
Quite a few of the Haze seeds sold by various vendors are also very Sativa dominant, so any of them should do just as well as those landrace Thai plants. On the more expensive end of the scale, you could order some Hawaiian Snow seeds from Greenhouse Seeds, to see how that fabled breed does in its homeland.
To avoid the keen eye of the Bear in the Air, I would also recommend that your plants are few in number, and ruthlessly tied down so they spread along the ground as they grow, making them less obvious from above.
both great responses. Yes you either grow a nice equalateral cultivar Sativa dom...or you veg and then throw outside when you would like to flower. I reccomend getting some nice Sativas and tying them down real nice like the first poster posted!
Like Krull says, do all your vegging indoors then move them outside. You can do this with any strain, sativa or indica. I've found the only time not to have plants flowering outside is Jan./Feb., as the weaker light induces male flowers.
thank you, i actually do use the tie down method...i dont let them get even 1.5 feet of the ground....so looks like im ordering a sativa dominate strain...maybe kc brains t.n.r, or hawaiian snow, right now i have some kc 33 sprouts.

I did a run of 10 seeds sativa seedbanks "sativa slang" (early girl) and I Planted outdoor beginning of jan. and harvested 3 mos. later. I got 8/10 females, reg seeds. I stay hawaii brah. You can see pics in my gallery.
