when do budsd start filling out

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

is it the last 6 weeks or so ? seen a plant with sites all over but it hasn't moved still growing but bud sites are not forming still in those little trangle pyramid things you know what i mean about 3-4 months left b4 harvest could there be a problem with soil conditions or am i being too eager it's just that i could swear past experiences (which has been a while) i remember buds growing most way through after starting to show of all grow manuals diaries proffessors etc that I've been reading overand over no mention of this timeline thanks 4 any replies

Just hang in there palikari.

Increasing your light wattage and lowering your humidity to about 35-40 % will help the process.

Also try to avoid low temps at night (lights out) during flowering. Not any lower than 18 C.

Good luck bro

EDIT:
1. if you mean the last 6 out of a total of 8 in flowering, then yes, it is still to early for them to start forming
2. i assume that everything else is ok. i mean your plants look green and healthy

4 weeks into flowering

you will see the big boost in size when you get close to the halfway point all the way to harvest, just give it time....remember patience.....

I have a similar situation where my buds should start getting red, brown and orange hairs. I think they are just starting to turn, but in any case I was wondering if the color changes or ripening can be forced with lower temps, less light.

What I'm suggesting is that my plants are looking for "fall", and I don;t know how to provide it. I basically have summer and spring down pat.

If budsites arent growing but the plant itself is, considering your 6 week inquiry (your plants are just starting to bud), then your plant is in the stretch phase. Keep feeding N rich nutes for another week or so, but think about giving a shot of a PK booster to push your plants into flower fully ASAP. Koolbloom or similar will do the trick.

Yes and don't believe any seedpack info about the time to finish. This is always underestimated for marketing purposes. They are done when they are done, and they are done when there is at least some amber trichs, depending on your preference. Hair colour and the other stuff will not tell you when a plant is perfect, only that they are close. Ratio of colours of trichs is the only reliable method to determine ripeness.

Also, just because the top is done doesn't mean the middle or bottom is done. i cut the top 1/2 of an LUI 80 - 88 days, and now the bottom half is still going, almost 2 weeks later. This is supposed to be an "8 week plant". They are just starting to go amber, so they are close. If you don't do this you get alot of weak immature popcorn bud with the finished main colas.

Use a hand microscope, 30X or higher, and check those trichs everyday.

Peace.

facelift, lower temps and night temps at least 10 degrees lower than day will bring out colours, purples, reds, oranges and yellows. Also, dialing the Nitrogen back halfway through flower, plus at least 2 week flush at end with plain ph'd water will bring those colours out big time.

Lower temps, like hi 60s brings the purple out in all those purple plants that are finishing.

As far as reducing light, this would hasten finishing, but it also deprives your plants of hours of bud building light energy, so you get quicker, smaller buds. It's one or the other. I choose bigger and I have the patience for it.

Thanks Pete.

I know the daytime temps are between 80-85. There a fan blowing in there, but no circulation of air with an intake/outflow fans. It's just a 4 foot box with lights a fan and plants. The only way i know to lower temps during lights on is to remove some of the 12 CFL's lights. The box is in the basement and the night time temps drop. I'll leave my thermometer out tonight and get a reading. I'm sure it drops into the high 40's low 50's. I sleep down there and use a small space heater for comfort.

I've started watering less, every other day, hoping that will give the plants a slightly "dry" season to see if that helps the plants mature a little. The plants have been flowering since 10-13, for 53 days, so I may be a little early with my "issue". I am leaving for Yellowstone National Park on 12-20 for 8 days, and was hoping they might finish by then.

Should have started the grow 2-4 weeks earlier. Just thought that lowering light levels, less watering and colder temps might get the plants into a late season mode.

when do buds start filling out/clarification of ?

thanks for your inputs I,ve been doing the internet tour and you guys r the best I should have made it clear that myself and my drinking buddy were having a debate about outdoor buds and the fact that our friend was doing something wrong trying to overdo the care you know like play proffessor I know great conditions indoor is imparitive but still too much ****ing around can also do damage anyway for outdoor should theyu be growing from time buds start to show or to they chill out while the branches are still growing then fill out in last weeks and how many weeks is this final process roughly
