When are your clones ready to plant out?

I've made 4 little cuttings and they'e survived a week so far with wild temperature fluctuations, too much water, too little water, not enough light blah blah blah.

How will I know if they're good to plant out?

Do I need to harden them up?

it normally takes about 5 to 21 days for roots to pop so when you see roots its time

That's why I use "clear" green beer cups...I can see when the roots are ready.
