when and if to flush

this is my first grow im growing in canna coco using canna nutes im 4 1/2 weeks into 12-12 according to the canna nute chart it says in the final week or two to stop all nutes appart from boost.

so my question is this do i stick to the caana chart and feed boost upto harvest or do i have to take into account for a week or so of water flush.

the reason i ask is because i was reading another members grow journal and he said "whats the point of giving your ladies a habit only to make them go cold turkey" and before i could ask him about it i lost internet connection and couldnt remember his name so now im throwing it open to anyone with any advice

I'm on day 68 of flowering an OG#18xSkunk from Reserva Privada and I'm running RO water right now. I adjust the pH but I'm not running the boost. I did run a little molasses and cal-mag+ with the first watering 5 days ago, but haven't used much of anything since.

The reason I'm doing this is because I can't really drain my plant where it is, and I can't really move it, so flushing isn't possible. I figured that running just water every day for a week was my best option. After maybe 5 days I'm noticing some leaves are starting to drain of color which indicates to me that the media is mostly devoid of nutrients and that the plant is feeding on what is left in the fan leaves like they were fat stores. I'll continue to do this for another 2 or 3 days then I'll stop watering and probably give a day or two of dark to finish up.

I don't use coco myself but I would think you would still want to flush with water only for the last week or so of flower to get rid of unwanted tastes and smells that come from your nutes.

i used canna boost on my last grow right up until harvest and it didnt harm the smell or taste what so ever! id say just go with it,boost is only plant extracts after all. have you noticed any difference in flowering speed using boost,im not using it this grow as i wanna see if theres any diff.

ps,i found it worked realy well as a foliar spray which i did til bout week 4.
it realy sped up pistil production

10 days before you bring them down just feed with water ....am doing 2 week this time round...got to flush those chems out

coco flushes quite quickly,like a few days.. 1week is plenty to get the chems out.but each to his own,no direspect bra just my opinion.

its all goood bro,,i never took affence....i like to get most big leafs of my planst to become real yellow = no chems left in the plant= smoooth smoke...i like them to eat thereslf as to speak lol & most of the time this can take 10/14 days.....

im just guessing and started to flush already. i just passed the 8 wk mark and have no idea when harvest time should be, but the pistils are turning orange and i'd say over half of my trichs are cloudy now...it's hard to tell with my microscope lol. if you checked out my grow in my sig and gave a bit of advice (plenty of pics) i would be delighted

hi guys thanks for your input i put this question on "ask the old farts a question" forum and the replys were in aggrement with pinkskunk they say that boost isnt classed as a nutrient as it mainly consists of sugars so the plant will still pull the life out of the leaves to retrive the stored nutes.
so i guess i'll give it a go right up to harvest.

but one thing i can tell you is that on the canna chart it says give them pk13/14 at week 3 but i was advised to give them another dose at week 5 and i could see the difference it made they swelled up quite a bit with no ill effects like over nute.
im coming to the end of week 6 now so just over 2 weeks to go but why does it seem that every day feels like a week, good things come to those that wait i suppose

from what ive read cannazym and boost only produce sugars so i suppose its like some growers who flush with sugar water and there is a few from what ive read on IC. so i dont think its gunna be detramental to the taste if i use it to the end (fingers crossed) if there is any nastiness to the taste i'll know for next time.but hey we live and learn.

i know what you mean man,my first grows were the longest ever,but now they seem to fly right by in no time!!!!! cant wait to hear how you go!

so im 45 days into flower 8 days into flush the K2 that im growing says 50-55days so i bought a 100Xmicroscope, i would say that the trics are about 80% cloudy so im hoping that i should be done on monday.
leaves are going very pale with browning on the edges im still watering every 2 days with 40ml canna boost & 25ml of cannazym but ive noticed that the biggest of the 8 is a very thitsty lady her pot seems very light compared to the others so im thinking maybe water her every day?????

Here' my 2 cents.
During flower i use Drip Clean with each feeding.
I finish with Final Phase plus Hygrozyme at week 8.
I do two more waterings with water and Hygrozyme.
I do a last watering with just water.
Everything comes out real good using this process and I don't flush anymore.
Works for me!
