Whazzap with my DWC..??

Hi there....

I,m having some problems with this DWC...
I had some other successful DWC's....but not sure whats happening here



I,m using theses nutes

and had it at 0.8 EC.....started getting brown roots and flushed it 4 days ago
atm i got them at 0.4 EC

increased the water circulation and more air in the systm..
temps at 70f.......

I,m lost with this bugger

Oh....btw.......i got them vegging under 7x 14w cfl's.....

What's the EC and pH of your water, pre-nutes? Is the res aerated? What are res temps? Whats res pH?

Dont have a PH or EC meter

but my the EC is 0.4 atm....had the at 0.8 and then i flushed cause i suspect its nute burn
judging when mixing my nutes

the temps is about 70 f atm......and i coverd and light into by DWC...........
and i increased the airation the last 4 days........

Could be anything........even heat !!!, but i also turned on the fan again since we going into spring

the strange thing is....I had about 4 DWC's before.......and it all went well...
and its the first time ive seen leaves like this......


someone probly gonna tell me is some kind of nute lock/burn because of wrong PH

btw...i got one of those meter-on-a-metal-rod thing thats no use at all.......!

In the WATER? You want the water to look like it's boiling.

While I love my Bluelab EC Truncheon (aprox $125) now that I've used it, I wonder if my $5 pH test kit was all I really needed. Knowing that EC and pH move in opposite directions, I think pH readings and careful observation are enough.

pH will affect what your plant can access in terms of food. For DWC, a range of 5.6 - 6.0 is ideal. It's a pretty narrow window. A pH test kit and some pH down will keep you inside those parameters.

If you've no EC meter, where did you get your EC numbers?

What weed will tolerate and what it will thrive on are different things. Without prior readings to compare, it's hard to say where you went wrong.

The rod meters are, I believe, intended for measuring pH of soil. A $5 drop kit from the Aquarium store will cover you.

OI freezerboy........soory for the typo err's...

I fixed all the problems that might have caused the brown roots..
heat , light inside the tub , water temp...and flushed...




Was just hoping for somebody with the same leaf problem as mine to tell me what he did wrong....

and my water temp is 60.F...and air....70.F

PH meter-on-a-metal rod said the PH is about 6.......

Tub and res is about 35 L together.......

and i got a pretty good water circulation going at.........with a airstone....
