all in all if you have good trim to start with then you might as well go the extra mile to use the butane...it's a cleaner solvent, it's easier to use, evaporates in seconds...and purges easily by alternating hot water baths to the freezing temps of the freezer
oh yeah and it always bubbles...
(iso is fine but it doesn't have that bomb taste in the final product even when you use good trim)
edit: If you use low quality trim you will get little to no oil and it will taste like ass...my experience with hash reminds me to use in moderation because if I'm making an extract of an already insanely potent plant..something is up...the hashish tends to make your tolerance go up pretty quick...it will get you really high the first times but when it comes back to smoking herb...you just can not get to the same spot...this can be restarted by not smoking a couple of weeks..no big deal
