What's your favorite brand of amendments?

I have been using Dr earth since I made the switch to soil and was wondering what everyone else is using and how it compares.

Vermiblend. Perfect soil amendment highly recommended

I don't really have a favorite brand, but i do try to avoid small branded packages. With something that came from one spot like kelp or greensand, brand is meaningless. I'm fortunate enough to have an organic garden center nearby that sells bulk products by the pound to the little guy.

I do however have a very strong brand preference that varies from region to region when it comes to bagged compost and castings.

Well sure. For compost in the deep South I would recommend Farmer D, Coast of Maine for the NorthEast, Bu's Blend for the SouthWest, and KIS for the NorthWest. It's going to take a little foot-work to find the high grade castings in your area.

I have heard lots of good things about down to earth
