I am not going to attempt to diagnose...but the simple answer is flush. :)

Flush, flush, flush.

I don't know if it is a toxicity or a deficiency of any particular nutrient or if the toxicity/deficiency was caused by something other than the base nutrition or amount used....but it doesn't really matter anyway. Most if not all toxicities/deficiencies/pH imbalances can be fixed by giving the media a proper flush then starting over.

Using FF in soil you need to give yourself at least a 2 week flush prior to harvest if you want super clean smoke. You look like you are 2-3 weeks out anyway...so flush, and then just give them plain water from here on out.

Enjoy the buds :)

feeding every other watering was your problem, the dosage you used was not enough to supply the plant with enough food until the next feed, normaly you want to feed every 7 days in soil, but when you use FFOF the size of your plant is what matters, since FFOF soil is rich, if the plant stays small you can go a long time without feeding the plant........ You would want to wait until they start to show problems before feeding, since the mixture is strong and all strains are different.

Since you kept your plant small you did not need to feed a lot since you had a nice mixture, the dosage you used was fine, but as the plant got bigger and the soil weaked the dosage needed to be adjusted.

the problem is a potassium deficiency.
I would not do anything by now you are going to be harvesting most likely within the next 2 weeks and I always say do a good long flush, I find a longer flush makes a better taste and the smoke is nicer and not as harsh, a cure will help too though.

But if you get all the nutrients out of them, you will see how much of a nicer smoke it can be!

You also have a nitrogen deficiency too; which is completely normal around this time of flowering, so I would not bother, you did your job supplying the plant with enough nitrogen to last through flowering before entering flowering.

The leaves with the yellowing/redish edges is the potassium issue; the yellowing leaves is the nitrogen problem.

Have you checked the trichs with a microscope to see what colors they are? Your plant looks like it's ready very very soon to chop.

Pretty buds btw congrats on a nice gal

it could be nutrition.
it could be pH related.
it could be water frequency related.
it could be genetics...

It could be alot of things. That's why I said not to worry about it.

At this point in the grow, I would say that your attention would be better spent trying to remedy the situation rather than diagnosing the cause of the problem.

To be honest...even if you knew exactly what the culprit was. The solution would be the same. Flush :)

Honestly i dont think i could have done it without your help stich. your sick plant guide and your wise advice is is always spot on.

The triches are about 30% cloudy and 70% clear, i figure they should be done in a bout 2 weeks. should i just flush and feed with plaint water / molassas? or you think they would benefit from one last shot of ferts then to flush?

you make a very good point SunnySide, with only two weeks left not much else to do but flush.

Thanks for the great advice guys, its always nice to know someones here to help.

The plants look like they are a little more done than that.
Did you check one leaf or all around the plant?
A lot of times the lower plant will finish out slower compared to the top depending on the lighting you are using.

What lighting are you using?

So what a lot of people do is chop the part that is done and leave the rest to flower longer until it's time to chop.

Have you checked the upper and lower part or just one part or what?

i honestly don't remember which buds i checked, but as soon as lights come on i'll do a good once over.

Im using a 600W hps EIKO brand, in a cool tube.

these pics were taken about 12 days ago, they look mostly clear to me. what do you think?

Ehh, the only real way to tell is with a microscope that has a light on it, those are some kick ass macros though; I do see a mixture of cloudy and clear but see more cloudy than clear ones......

Rather than open a new thread i thought i'd just post in this one again.m Im using the same water nutes and lights as the previous problem.

Im getting a weird rust color on the fan leaves of my pure kush.

it looks like a calcium def to me. what do you guys think?

Hi vinnievichi
I agree it lokks like calcium def. could be some borum to, but no matter what, I would flush my plants with tap water(ph around 7 and in a few days...a week at the most they should be fine. Flush with twice the amount water the container is, and then just keep feeding like usual after soil drys out a bit....godd luck..... :rasta:

THat is not calcium, calcium does not cause those kinds of markings.

When was the last time you fed? ALso I would have gotten them out of those 2 liter bottles long time ago..... rootbound plants can't absorb nutrients properly.

WHat is the pH?
Have you fed them recently and how often and how much?

How close do you have your light, I see some minor heat issues to some of those upper leaves.... what is the wattage they are under?
