Is it in Rockwool or a Rapid Rooter type Plug?
Seems too soon to transplant too small... but alone wouldn't casuse that tragedy.
Damping Off possibly. Transplant Shock more likely.
I spray my little ones rather than "Water" untill they are large enough to get real root mass.

Thats a goner my friend.

Appears to be damping off fungus. Is the stem brown at or slightly above the soil line? This is a sure sign of fungus. It is hard for me to tell by the picture. If it is a fungus, your potting soil is probably to blame. A small amount of potting soil can be baked in the oven to sterilize it at 200 degrees (no hotter) for 30 minutes. Fungicides like captan can be used when you plant. Maybe try a low rate of 1/4-1/2 teaspoon 50% captan per gallon of water and drench the soil. Avoid keeping your seedling too wet which is an easier preventative. Also, it is very stretched and leggy. You will want to get your light closer to the top of your seedlings in the future.

ya, what happened was: the seed cracked and the root was showing, so i planted it in a dixie cup with damp soil, then put a ziploc over it and i was gone for about 1.5 days and when i came back it was super stretched...

yeah that one looks caffed already,,, remove the string, mist, and cross fingers.

next time place a small fan in the room (not direct) to help form a nice stem, water once and let roots develope before repotting

all the best dL :joint:
