Whats Wrong ? No Trichomes ?

Pineapple kush , 12 /12 from seed

She suffered some heat stress which i think might have stunted her some , but i fixed my heat issues and now temps are 79

but she still looks shitty from where she suffered the heat stress

She is about 5 weeks in ( guessing ) iv never counted days before , iv just always waited until i started seeing trichomes then use my scope to harvest by trichome color

She has no visible trichomes at all

other 12 /12 grows iv done the trichomes would be just glistening beautifully by now

but for some reason their is none

is this a normal feature for some strains ? will the trichomes start showing rapidly or something ?

Is it possible that she will not put out any trichomes at all and i just need to toss her ? defective or something

Do i keep her and still wait or is she a lost cause ?

It looks like you've fed her too much nitrogen. You can see the clawing downwards on the leaves. What have you been feeding? Are you sure your at 5 weeks? Looks more like 4 weeks to me, either way you should have had trichs by now. Have you grown this strain before? It could be genetics related.

looks a bit like my seemingly-14-week Vanilluna plant (at 11 now) when it was 5 weeks in. sometimes they mature REALLY slowly. sometimes they also have very short trichome stalks so you can't really see them until the heads swell.

No this is my first time growing this strain

Iv been feeding her G.H Maxibloom , 1 tsp per gal of water about once a week after she dries back out

and im not 100% positive about 5 weeks

No light leaks , 12 hours of straight darkness

What caused the heat stress?

I had them under my 250 hps in a 3ft cab and was not able to keep it cool

temps went in the 90`s

But i fixed up my closet and moved her in their and now temps are 79

not always an indicator of quality. cure as usual, smoke it, and then determine if it is any good...you still have a ways to go before chop regardless.

i just looked at her through my scope and did see a few trichomes , but the key word is few

And like softyellowlight mentioned , their were no stems , just small little trichome heads

but the trichomes are far and few in between , like their not all over just a few here and their

If it was not for the scope i would not been able to just see what little i did see

do any of you think its worth waiting it out or is the lack of trichomes a sign of a insufficient potency that ( Probably ) wont be woth smoking ?

patience. some strains dont pump out resin as much as others.i have smoked weed that had few visable tricomes and got stoned. but i do preferr heavilly crusted weed.

sativa´s often dont have visible crystals.

and this looks like a freak, might be a good smoke (freaks often are)


it looks like it was in flowering but revegged bit, for a week or 2 and then got thrown into flower again (or something like that.)

week 5, heck it might start growing crystals next week, who knows, might be the powersmoke of your life.

its obviously a hybrid sativa indica, which means it might not be a 8 weeker.

my pure sativa from vietnam takes about a month to show flowers, month later they are still tiny. (but a kickass rocketride smoke with trippy visuals (its a go out happy drug)

though i seriously doubt your plant is gonna take more than bit more than average time to flower
