Whats up with Spain and cannabis?

Hey my homie is in Barcelona for three weeks scouting the place for a future crew trip out there.

I heard its legal out there, ive seen people growing on their roofs, jorge cervantes is from spain and i heard its more cannabis friendly than amsterdam!


So...where do you get buds out there, do you need a medical card? i dont want to be buying crappy hash off street dealers, we on that top shelf hype.

Also, what are the good party districts, etc, because we are a rowdy bunch. Wouldnt be surprised if someone ends up in the drunk tank.

Also, how strict are spanish police? Do they have some retarded justice system that automatically locks you up until your trial?

Forget weed if you're a foreigner in Spain, if you want anything smokable and have no good connections you'll need to look around for moroccan hash of decent to good quality.. even if you can find weed, it will most likely not be very good. Also, there's lots of bad hash, don't buy unseen. Smoking in public is not allowed, so don't go puff'n on the streets, suddenly some bribe hungry cop will fish money out of you..

It's been awhile since I was last there but I would watch out for the cops. We were held up by two with automatic rifles a while ago. All they got was a siver chain and some cash. Obviously not all are bad. But it seemed the city cops (guardia civil) have a reputation for this behavior. This was Barcelona.

Well, I tell you, the legal situation is the same as in most of the world, consumption is not punished, but if you get caught with something they put a fine of 300 €.
Depends on the city you can get quality hashish is unusual even for foreigners who do not know anyone ...
The crop is also punishable, but usually do not show whether it is for sale, nothing happens except the shock of seeing the cops raiding your home as if you were a terrorist ..
I smoke on the street and almost everywhere, if you're a nobody unwise to say anything, you smoke almost everywhere, but quietly ;-)

They have just had a big crackdown, loads of ppl nicked, street beer dealers and hassling professional ladies were the main targets, there are some dealers out there with decent weed, 99% will be out there tomorrow, selling... like said above here you can find some comercial hashis not really good quality but decent sometimes.
for herb material it like bit difficult to find, even more from march to october..

we´re on the road like other countries and have good weather for outdoor gardening, but ganja it´s still ilegal..

And most (90%?) of the spanish are still smoking low grade marocian hash.

spain isn´t the vallahala but here we have serious breeders and of course high quality herbs/extracts, belibe me.
we are, like Zar well said we´re growing day a day, and belive too not all the comercial hash is crap, we have morroc near and the qualitys arent low allways..

also if you don´t have friends it´s difficult to find elite clones, it´s true but it´s true in spain and outside.

Spainish towns and cities love there open air markets. Find a store selling paraphernalia, be discreet when asking for some hash/bud....I always ask for sputnik and always end up with high grade polm. If they won't oblige they will tell you somewhere where you can get hold of some. Great place, great people, and great hash. I've never scored weed cause I get that at home. Just my experience though and I havn't visited for about 14 months now, so things can change in that time.

For maroc hash spain is the place! you can get 1st quality for half or less of the price in the netherlands...

i for one prefer the spanish scene over the dutch scene... the dutch scene is more commercial, but the spanish scene is built around the concept of homegrowing for own consumption...

it's a different atmosphere therefor... of course if you depend on buying the weed adam might be the better place (although much more expensive, good commercial indoor costs around 5 euro per gram in small amounts here in the center of spain) there it's easier to find good weed, and more variety... but the life as a grower is easier in spain (dutch have publicity to make neighbours aware if their neighbour grows - and if so they shall call the police, just to give an example)

for me is sure: the work in both countries long isn't over, but both are ahead of most other european countries - but in different fields...

I studied in Valladolid this past summer and it felt like Valhalla to me.

10g eggs of maroc hash for 60-80 Euro. 20g of Hash lasted me my entire stay, smoking all day every day.

I was never able to find weed though; a friend did but it was shitty outdoor, very dry.

However, I found hash (and ketamine!) within 30 seconds of leaving my hotel in Madrid.

I smoked (a pipe) walking down the street- no problems. I even constructed a bong out of those huge 1L water bottles onthe beach. NO PROBLEMS! I didn't even see many cops when I was there.

Be careful in the more tourist areas though; I'm sure there are more LEO there.

I studied in Madrid for a year in the early 90's. We used to sit in the Retiro park on Sundays and smoke hash by the estanque and play drums/guitars. We were never bothered there.

The funniest thing, every building on campus had a bar in the basement level, you know, coffee, pastries, beer or whiskey between classes. A buddy had come back from Morocco with some good hash, asked me if I wanted to smoke some, and I was like, yeah, let's go outside. he was like relax, this is spain, he rolled some up right there in the middle of 200 people in the school bar and we smoked up then headed back to class. That's when I knew I was in a foreign country! :yay:We always smoked in local hangouts with no problems, but somehow, smoking out in a university building seemed over the top. But we were never hassled. You would never try this in a nicer bar, but local pubs were groovy when I was with other spaniards.

Spain was a beautiful country, outgoing, friendly, great food. Spaniards have a lot of zest for life, very passionate and artistic. It was a lot cheaper to visit Spain before they joined the eurozone!
