A lot of people use seedlings to small plants in happy frog and FFOF soil and have issues, because the mixture is not made for small plants like that...... not to mention the combination of additives they throw at them and you end up getting ph issues.

i have been using the Fox Farm Organic Soilless mix (has no long coco in it) and the pH is spot on, but the price is more than what i wanted, so i went to a local nursery and they have this stuff called Black Earth. The ratio i use for that is 75/25 with perilite, the pH has not gone very far from 6.7 and all i have been doing is just feed, feed, feed, water...last flush i did to check the pH level i was spot on and its been about a month. When i compare the price of FF and Black earth, i'll pay the $5.00 a bag for Black Earth.

Your paying for the FF name with organics, that's it, your better off going out and buying a decent mixture and adding your own if you know how too.........

Save ya a lot of money in the long run, especially if you grow your plants big.
