No in my opinion its a bit low,I keep my nutrient ph around 6.5 for my soil grows but really anything between 6 and 7 is cool

If your "soil" is peatmoss, bark, perlite, vermiculite, etc...then your 5.8 ph is okay. If your using field soil with minerals, I prefer a slightly higher ph like 6 to 6.5 although I doubt 5.8 will cause problems. Closer to 5.5 is when trouble starts.

i use ph of 5.2-5.4 during flower and slightly higher during veg, about 5.7-6.0

works best for me
Alot of growers really do the opposite. They grow at a low ph in veg and then in flower allow the ph to rise some. This probably increases availability of calcium needed for flowers.

Ph 5.2 is very low. You can get a toxicity of the micronutrients especially manganese.

Whatever is recommended,5.2ph would absolutely lock out my nutes I know this from much experience.Actually, whenever my soil ph dropped below 6 whether I was using promix or ocean forest,I'd run into problems.I've had much more successful grows using dolomite lime in the mix and keeping my soil ph around 6.5 during both veg and flower. Its just been my experience

If you're growing in soil and not using dolomite lime you're missing the simplicity that soil gives you....mix a tiny bit in and pH issues are those of the past.

Canna recommends a ph between 5.2-6.2 for their Terra nutes and i never ever had a hermie
trust me on this i dont care what they say that couldnt be for soil 5.2-6.2, DUH just read canna wouldnt use that in soil either maybe coco perlite/vermiculite not soil. duder PH 5.8 will give you major problems when you switch to flower. i just experinced this i played around with PH durin this round to see what my plants could handel. well through veg my clones handeled PH 6.0 great lush green but 1 wk after 12/12 and dropn PH to 5.8 i experinced problems leaves yellowed browned dried up i was lucky was watchn for problems. now im back to PH 6.5 and all is good 1 plant fully recovered the other lagged but is now ok. personally i would'nt drop below PH 6.0 in soil ever again :)) i allways use dolimite lime in my soil 2 tsp per gal soil
right on top and water it in with every new transplant

I really dont think high or low ph values are going to cause a plant to herm, your just gonna have an unhealthy plant.

Definately.I add 2 tbls per gallon to keep ph from dropping to 5 or lower in flower. The lime it comes with is not enough its too acidic

You've got some conflicting advice here, but me and major pothead who experienced problems with a 5.8 PH are two people who have experienced problems when the PH dropped below 6.Keep it above 6 and below 7 and you should be OK
