Whats the best soil/nutes for Serious Seeds AK-47? I was thinking of using a mix of 30% perlite and 70% fox farm ocean forest. Also i was wondering if i should start the seeds in a different mix?

You can use it alone. I have for years and have had great results. Our waters PH around here is 7. If you like you could add 2 table spoons of dolomite lime per gallon of soil. This I have found keeps my plants grener longer into bud. Promix has it in it already, but a little more is good, but like I said you can use it the way it is and it will still give you great results. There are 2 types of promix. There's Promix BX and promix regular. If you have the choice get the Promix BX as it contains more perlite than the other. Hope this helps you out. Any other questions don't hesitate ti ask.

Hey TGT i will be receiving some AK47 from serious and will be going the soil route first time around. My question is what do you think of using straight pro-mix from the time my seeds sprout all the way through veg, once going into flower i will repot and add some dolomite?

BongMaster not trying to hijack ur thread, figured i post here instead of starting a new one, for the same question.

I would suggest using just Promix this time around and you should get good results. Then on your next grow try the dolomite lime and see what difference it makes for you. That way you know if it improves your final product or not. Everyones water and setup is different, so it might not do anything. In my case it has, but I have heard others say it came out the same using it or not. Give your plants veg formula for the first week or two when you trigger and then switch to bud. This will give the plants enough nitrogen for the stretch. If you still notice lots of the bottom leaves dropping off then try the dolomite lime next time around. Good luck and let us know your results.

Is sunshine mix an acceptable medium to start seedlings in, and should i add more to sunshine mix #4 when i transplant them into their veg/flower pot? I am planning on using fox farm nutes but am open to suggestions for better fertilizers.

yo bong,

Yes, I use Sunshine mix #4 i also add some worm casting in veg, and when i repot into flowering i add worm casting and a couple tlbs of Indonesian guano to the Sunshine mix. I use the PBP line for nutes.
