i just lost like 20k worth of bag soil to a crooked landlord in shasta county ca.
should i sort locations by climate zone first or by what the laws are...
Bro fuck that don't run! Sue the fuck outta your landlord. Landlords are fickle in all counties.
Can't hurt to research. California, with the continuing devastating wildfires, I'd chose a different state, if it were me.
Look for altitude, climate zone, previous natural disasters.
Find a better landlord...the kind that doesn't bother you (because you ALWAYS pay on time in its entirety).
Good luck!
still cal just have to pick right area...I am thinking of moving somewhere illegal and where I can make 2x as much as here in cali and more too....yeehaw..I know florida well and could make a killing in just a few years there ...the drought ,new zoning ordinances,electric/gas prices, water shortage making cali not so worth it to some...and the new laws if passed with a ll the so called vague areas are gonna be a nightmare and make life hell for some..they just don't know it yet...yeeehaw
If ur gonna do indoor then I say Alaska.
If your housing requirements are minimal & you have help on hand:
Buy some land...
Its fairly cheap if you can go w raw unimproved land in a mtn area that has year round access. Acerage typically gets cheaper as it increases.
Get something temporary to live in if necessary & build yourself a place.
Hope you get your situation figured out.
Oh yeah...
If you require legal... Colorado is the most solid for personal... Look up what countys allow what for county specific advice but no county can ban personal for any reason.
If you don't care about legal status... The choice of state is yours.
If you are growing indoors, power bills are important.
I think Idaho has less expensive electricity. Not Cannabis friendly (officially).
The best state and county for growing, from an economic standpoint, is the one you live in now...
Just be smart and stay safe...
WIth the playing field constantly changing these days, it's challenging to make the exact right choice. Maybe look 2-3 years into the future, and deduce what states may enact changes allowing us to live our chosen lifestyle. And thrive economically, with the least fear of legal probs
New England never has enough good herb around, the prices are super high
and its the next area of the country to legalize.
