Whats the best camera?

Hey all; I own an old HP camera with no macro. I am looking to buy a new camera today. Looking to spend under $200 I am very new to Digi pics of anything more than my family. Everyone please chime in, dont hold back all ideas are welcomed :wave: :1help: :smoweed:

I shoot all my pics witha konica minolta dimage Z2 4.0 mp camera and i paid a tad over 200 maybe half a year ago on ebay... it has a 10 x times zoom and i at least like it.. Hope you find a good one... PeAcE also nikon coolpix are some good cheap cameras...

no problem man, right when u think u got the cam you want you'll compare it to another one and change your mind lol, then you'll be breakin it down to features, price, quality....it gets tough....i'm still lookin too.

from questions i asked and from what i've seen the nikon coolpix are really great for the price....but i still think the best pics i seen was this guy on OG and he was using a ricoh capilio....awesome macros from that guy.

Hey Time2: You still on :bat: You are here as much as me :pointlaug Anyway I checked out that Ricoh capilio 3 (not available USA) but Ebay and a few .com stores have it. I am going to check a few stores here and then buy one 2morrow. I like the opt x7 that kicks ass. Thanks bud

When you look at zoom, like said before read up a little. Don't be fooled by 8, 9, or 10x zoom. It is good don't get me wrong but only if it is optical zoom. Digital zoom only stretchs the image which will lower quality. Also be care when ordering from camera shops on E-Bay read customer feedback first. And also make sure to ask questions because I was shopping for a camera a few years back and if it had not been for a friend I never would have caught that I almost bought that had been manufactured to be sold in a different country and had wasn't the same as advertised. I ended up going with a Fugi myself. About 300 but it came with a tri-pod and a couple of lens'.

Sorry so long winded. Research is the key.

ive got an epson photopc froom about 1995 , but it takes pretty decent pics. its about the size of a brick, an you wouldnt take it out in public... but it does work godo for pot pics! heres a pic of my cam, i know you will all laugh !

Thanks guys: Yea Mo I am very exp. with ebay, This ricoh I mentioned is from Japan, but works multi lang. 100% feedback from a wholesale wharehouse over there. Also the zoom I mentioned before is just optic( been that digi zoox bit) Yea x7 opt ,x4 digi =10 total but I am only intrested in the optic & 1cm Macro. Unobtainium nice camera :pointlaug yea I got an old one but since I strapped on my balls and posted some pics I think its time to upgrade. :wave:

Very good link HOT Cargo I used it earlier from Time2. I just bought a Ricoh capilio R3 $260 couldn't pass up. So expect pics soon :woohoo: Thanks all

that a boy heavythc, i'm tellin you the pics i seen in macro from that guy were the top 3 best macro pics i've seen by far....and the price is unbeatable really....let me know how it goes because i've had my eye on them for awhile now....way to get on it!
