What's happened to the Highland Oaxaca

I'm probably just being ignorant and blind but I can't seem to find any leads on Highland Oaxaca seeds. It's been a long gap in my life between me growing again and I remember 7 years back thinking I should pick some up but never did and now no one seems to have kept these genetics around, especially the more famous version like DJ short used.

I want to kick myself because I never though in this day and age something like that could be lost again.

I got lucky and caugh the second offer of highland oaxacan crossed with purple zacastecas from vermontman.

It was on ACE...lasted about two hours
You might check snow high or great northern.
I am thinking of growing mine out next winter. I will post a grow report probably. I wil make seeds.

Snow high has a couple of strains out there that are oaxacan crosses. They aree quite expensive though. And selling out.. Pm me for more info.

Man you'll make me cry, I was just looking for the oaxacan because I thought the purple zacastecas was a myth......

I'm in south africa and because our postal service is so shit I have to use seed importers who bring them in otherwise most parcels get lost, so I need to find seeds in current production. Please make clones and millions of seeds!! there is still so much genetic variation to be pulled out of those genes

A friend here is sending me some seeds of the black magic he smoked in congo, I have quite high hopes for it as he said it was too strong for him but he's used it in a couple of crosses and was very happy with the results. not huge trichomes but a heavy fine layer from what he's told me

First Lady is good but seemed a little weak maybe. Ran one plant. Cryptic Labs has a Oaxacan, I have a pack but have not run it. Snow has quite a few Oaxacan crosses, have some of those too but have not run them.

yes, cryptic labs is only option for pure one I guess. if it is really pure and not mixed with broad leaf too.. you can get red snake from cannabiogen or royal flush from Nirvana seeds, both nice oaxacan crosses. F13 from Dj Short or Pina Rita from Subcool, or Zapotec from North Star.

So it seems i was just being ignorant and there are some breeding programs being done, so hopefully in the next year some new offerings will be coming up, there is also a guy called Gerry from Colorado Sativas that has some oaxacan seeds from DJ short. he doesn't ship em but my brother lives in kansas so I could maybe ask him if he's willing to go for a long drive.....

I always wonder where my Mexico seed collection originates also how do people know their strain is from those states? I'm pretty sure the stuff I have ain't all grown in the state of Chihuahua Mexico yea it's a state next to Texas and new Mexico I'm sure most is not grown here probably from the north central part in Zacatecas Durango and Sinaloa most likely.

I think the names was titled by smugglers back in the day. and today If someone score some seeds in weed they bought there, they simply call after place name, though it can be from different place, when it is illegal nobody gives a fuck about name.. thats all. I think mexicans have their own titles to it. same for colombians, they dont call it colombian gold. they call it doradas de Santa Marta.

agreed, even here is south africa it's still the same with name variations regardless of what you are getting genetically speaking. our swazi is mainly a skunk blend by now, everynow and then we'll find stuff that has the same sweet musky smell of swazi but the high isn't the same unfortunately.
