What's everyone's opinion on GMO strains?

I know none currently exist.

But there will come a time when there are GMO strains that resist root rot, spider mites, or powdery mildew. Ya know, the common problems we have with our plants.

Would you buy seeds for these? If so, why? If not, why not?

Nope, would not buy em. In a way, feminized seeds are genetically modified similar to seedless fruits are GMO, other veggies altered for larger harvest.

Prefer working with regular seed stock, although have grown out fem seeds.

Others will disagree.

Seems to me like Cannabis can be bred to resist a lot of that stuff anyway. I've had grow rooms with mites/pm etc and there are always plants that are barely affected (effected? I can never get those right). While other plants can't cope at all.

There's no reason to GM what can be bred for.

Hellz no... Would never, knowingly, purchase GM products.
